so battle royal it is? i'll come up with the rules this week if anyone else is interested. what i'm thinking is a bunch of people would start up on another forum unbeknownst to anyone (usernames stay anonymous) and we just keep posting until we have clues as to who a person is. we'd have to have some sort of protocol for guessing,(through personal messages i guess) and it would obviously have to be based on the honor system. but once one person is tagged by another person, they are out of the round, until we start again on another forum the quicker we are all tagged, the quicker we can start the next round (more fun for everyone) hell, we could even have a cycle of forums we could just run through.
Battle Royale!! the honor system setup! --------------------------------------- requirements: --5-10 people, or something! more than 3 is ideal, 4 might only last a couple days... --"home"/base forum (dxpnet) --"target"/game forum (i need to research practical forums for this purpose... ideally, no ip reporting is all it should take.. that and a constant influx of newbies, so most likely top boards on board listing pages, we'll have to see)
that's about all that's required!!!
general overview and gameplay: ------------------------------ game starts with a "game" thread on "home" forum (dxp, in this case) all players are listed with "home" s/n's (i would be listed as sagitTAUries, for example, tc listed as tc, etc. etc. etc.) there will be a set amount of time upon information of which forum game will take place on, before the actual game begins. i'm thinking 3 days is a good amount of time, perhaps over a weekend. so if we announce that the target forum is "www.forum.com" or whatever, it would be announced 3 days ahead of when the actual game starts. this allows for scoping out, and strategy, and will let you join anytime in advance if you'd like to get a small "sneak" on the rest of the players. since we can't have you making a userid and never posting, in an attempt to snake a win: (this info is based on target forum statistics, so it's subject to change): --you must make a minimum of (3?) posts a day (i'm thinking this is going to have to be uppped a little bit for most forums...) --you must make a minimum of (1?) thread every 3 days (again, i think i'm going to have to observe the target forum to come up with an average that makes sense for that particular forum... does anyone have a better clue as to go about this? like i said b4, i'm terrible with creating details..)
annnndd... those are the generalities-- you can post whatever you want on the game forum, but you can't mention the game to anyone on the target forum. if you find yourself liking a non-player from the target forum, and you wish to interact with them realistically, you must disqualify yourself from our game beforehand, and then do whatever you want...otherwise you would become a liability to the game. (all rules apply to everyone, at any time... hence, the honor system, we will all hold each other accountable.. that's why i wanted the game play so short, so it's less involved and there is less at stake)
optional rule: first one tagged can moderate the rest of the game if they choose to (this might be pointless w/ the honor system)
ok, so those are the generals... here's where i made it a bit dicey: specifics and categories:
partners: ---------
partners are acceptable! buuuuttt... you *MUST* use only one screen name. so two partners would have to share one screen name, and would be entered into the "battle" as one screen name. (see additional diversionary screen names for alternative solution below)
hints: ------ to make

I noticed from the Love Test that was posted, the many exciting names given to the poster's Thingy's so maybe we should start a thread and list them here.
