I love my Aquarius bf but can't tell him

We've had some good time and some rough patches. I'm a Taurus sun and Gemini moon. He's an Aquarius sun and Libra moon. We've been dating for 6 months now and when we're hanging out it's like magic. This past Friday and Saturday was so perfect that I just wanted to shout it from the rooftops. He was so happy he couldn't stop smiling. He was radiant. I want to tell him but I don't want to ruin anything which is what happens when the L word comes into the equation.

DENIED!!!!

Give him time to fall in love with you before you tell him.

Sometimes 100x. Took mine 10 YEARS to broach th "L" word. Why I waited so long is beyond me.

No worries. I won't tell him. I'm a big believer that if you really love someone, you want what's best for them. Telling him would more than likely upset him and I don't want that. I'll show him instead.

To be honest I don't entirely agree with this idea that you shouldn't tell Aquas you love them. I'm an Aquarius female and I adored being told I was loved. Obviously everyone is different and you are best placed to judge because you are the one who knows him best, and you are wise to tread gently, but i don't think it should be a hard and fast rule to never broach the so called L word. Aquas need love too and sometimes I think they need a little shove because they are so detached that they don't really know how they feel or what the relationship status is and need their partner to help them see that they are wanted and needed.

That's an interesting take. He grew up with a lot of security from his family and enjoys attention. He admits that in the past, he hasn't always been motivated to take the correct approach with relationships. He's trying to evolve and I do see his effort in that regard.

I'm just concerned that if I tell him, it might make him freak/out or retreat. Everything is going really well. 🙂

Maybe if things are going well, it's best to not say it just yet but let things grow and develop a bit more, it's still early days so there is plenty of time to say it in the future. Maybe try saying things along the lines of "I love spending time with you" or "I really like you" and see what kind of response those get. Then you don't have to throw yourselves straight into the deep end but you can still get an idea of how he feels and how he might handle talk of love or emotions in general 🙂

When I started feeling more I couldn't keep saying I like you over and over especially since my Aqua has been pretty upfront about his feelings for me. So I say things like "I love being around you...you make me happy. I love our time together." I had to turn it up when he referred to our intimacy as "making love" and I was still on gimme the D ‚....

Wait for him to say it so you can feel anxious or that he only said because you said it. Show him by your actions.

You guys give such great advice! I'm not going to say it to him just yet. I'm focusing on showing him by my actions. That's how I know how I'm feeling is real to me because I don't want to be selfish.

I do agree saying I like you over and over won't cut it so I guess I have to find new ways to convey how much I care.
