I cannot say for sure...but, it sounds like fear of actual commitment to me...the closer it gets (the divorce being final), the greater the fear.
If I were you...I would take time away from relationships anyway. Be good to you! Focus only on you, and do good things for yourself...
But, that is what I would do...
I agree, it sounds like someone who can't commit or is probably afraid of making a mistake. You can't change people like that, so you are best off without them. Even though its probably painfull, its better to find out what a person is now better than later and having had wasted even more time. Just think yourself lucky and thank god they left and know that you deserve much better!

Yeah yeah...but it hurts so damn bad! Too bad for him I guess! Onward upward!
Communication is the key. Unlock your door. If you want to believe something is true then tell that person so that there is "nobody" left without understanding. Otherwise, it may be the both of you who misses out on true love.

If you are in a relationship with a person for a year and a half and that person claims to love you so much they want to marry you, and you love them back but are still 3 months away from finalizing a divorce, and they suddenly become distant just before their job takes them out of town for a few months, and they dump you and won't even talk to you-whats the deal? Are they scared or are they cheating?
