A bit of insight into Scorpios please?

I am an Aries, Ascendant Leo. I have absolutely no Scorpio in my natal chart aside from my True North Node which doesn't express any of the classic Scorp characteristics. All of my life I've attracted Scorpios as friends and in romantic relationships. I DO NOT like Scorpios. I absolutely cannot stand them but they're always drawn to me. I'm not sure if my distast for them is seen as some sort of challenge to them that they need to conquer but it drives me crazy because it makes it harder for me to develop real relationships when I'm always trying to dig my way out of the Scorpios. It's not that I blow them off before I know them, I just don't like their energy and we don't mesh AT ALL. I'd just like to know if anyone else has this problem or maybe why this happens to me.

Maybe you're right. I find it difficult to just give myself up like that because (and I mean absolutely no personal offense) I find Scorpios ingenuine and too reserved. I tend to try and pick and them apart because that's more exciting than waiting for them to open up and be more excitable. Is it possible that just my sheer lack of tact and patience prevent me from ever being able to wait long enough for a Scorpio to open up enough that I can have fun with them?

Haha thank you for the consideration but I'm female. I've heard Scorp guys can be a disaster to handle if they haven't figured out how to manage themselves. I do think one day I really could enjoy a Scorpio because despite the fact that they are an air sign, they emit this intenstity that really does feel like fire. Just on a sidenote. I enjoy giving my opinions and possibly debating them. There is no matter of right or wrong but when I debate with a Scorpio, if I don't agree with them, they absolutely will not leave it alone. I've actually been ostracized by them before for not agreeing, even if I don't outright tell them I don't agree. Is this something I should expect?

It is a very masculine sign! I kind of hate it sometimes lol. I had just remembered it was a water sign when you posted this. That's a bit confusing because as a scorpion is an animal I would always guess they'd be earth. I met one incredibly sweet Scorp once and I loved him to death and if I didn't agree with something he said, I left it alone and all was fine. What it really came down to in the end was that nothing I did was right. He literally hated everything about me and although I cared for him deeply, I had to let him go because as an Arian, I love myself more. I have a feeling I'll end up with a Scorpio just because it's the one thing I try to avoid most but it could be fun I think! 🙂

There was more than one Scorp guy that did that to me but he was the only one I truly cared about, so it "stung" quite a bit, so to speak. I'd like to not punish Scorps I meet in the future for what was done to me in the past and you're right, this could be a good challenge to undertake.

My best friend is an Aries and so is my dad, as well as several other close family members. They work my nerves, but I love them to pieces and vice versa. I think it's because we're equally loyal and fiercley protective of one another.

That's really cool that you've gotten to spend your life with them, getting to know the Arian character. Families have a natural inclination to love they're own so it isn't as if they would just pick up and leave you because you're a Scorpio and they don't get along with you. But not knowing someone that well and then trying to acclimate for the first time with very little feeling for that person can be brutal.

I am surrounded by Scorpio. I love most of them and they challenge me to see alternative perspectives without damaging our communication. Even when we fight/disagree it is easy communication to hash out the root rather than toeing around stupidity. I am yet to have a surface relationship with one. However when it is bad with me and a Scorpio it is HELL. We mutually hate each other above anything else. Passion and allure are enriching in the connection. They are great friends and even if they seem secretive the people that know them know them (even if they don't divulge anything to them completly).
