Aries friend being weird

Hello, I'm new to this and i was wondering if someone could help me out here...

So I've been really close friends with this Aries guy for the last 5 years. He is very much an introvert, people find it hard to get along with him. Basically he's not that popular. This is what intrigued me from day one, he always seems so misunderstood, I wanted to work him out. I do believe I'm now his closet friend, but he's still distant in some ways.

A couple of years back I really liked him and I think he knew but he made it clear that he didn't see me that way so I moved on and we continued our friendship... For the last year he's became a bit flirty and kept giving me compliments, telling me that he would like to see me naked, that I'm lovely, that I'm 'lush, who wouldn't want you?' and so on...I decided to ignore this as from what I had seen over the years, he isn't very boyfriend material, I wouldn't want to complicate our friendship. For the first time ever the other day he invited me to his house. When I went to stay round he tried to have sex with me, I refused. He couldn't seem to understand what I meant by 'I don't want friends with benefits'. He wouldn't give it up 'what's stopping you?', 'come on'... he was practically dry humping me at one point! Anyway, I didn't give in, though we did kiss. He was really passionate and kept on stroking my hair and face as if I was his lover. In the morning he was joking around as if nothing happened, so I did too. Then when it came to saying good bye he barely hugged me and walked away... he looked a bit annoyed. He hasn't text me since. So my question is, is it likely he has feelings for me? Or is he just being a typical aries and sulking for not getting what he wanted? Though part of me knows that he is not right for me, I've always been attracted to him and there's always a part of me that wonders how it would go. Do you think it's possible our friendship could turn into a relationship? If so how?

He's just sulking. He's Probably embarrassed for acting liking a fool as well. He might also be worried that he messed it up with one of his best/closest friends.
