How Your Strongest Subject Relates to Your Career Path

Your strongest subject in school does not always determine your career. Many people excel in areas unrelated to their studies but find success in different fields. Identifying your skills and interests can help guide you toward a fulfilling career that aligns with your natural strengths.

In school, mine was English. Yet, my career had zilch to do with english.

I was wondering if people actually go into the best career fields for them. What was your strong area, compared to your career?

I studied Literature, I'm retired now, but, when I worked, I was in accounting.

Crazy, isn't it? We spend our parents money for a decent education and then don't go into our major.

Sounds like you use your skills, Boy, in your career. That's great !!!!

I'll never forget the day I asked my husband, "Ok, I know that Lincoln was the 16th president, but, what number was Thomas Edison?" He couldn't even respond at first. Shook his head, chuckled and said, "Angel, he was an inventor, not a president."

So, needless to say, my history retention sucks !!!!!!!!

No emphasis, just masters in business admin. Hopefully going for my PhD, and returning back to the same university to teach so I don't have to go head to head with all those big time players in the industries. I'm taking the easy way out. The classes are not difficult. Best suggestion, study up on the GMAT at least a year ahead of time. That's the entrance exam (extreeeemly tough).
