What do you actually plan on doing though? BTW I love you for being the first to post in my thread. *smooch*

Anyway, here's mine:

1. Army Infantry or Military Police, which ever helps me best with becoming a:

2. Private military contractee with a reputable company like Blackwater USA, Triple Canopy, Crescent Security Group, etc. Those boys get paid at least $ 80- $ 100K a year with the work terms relatively short (generally around 3-6 mo.) with the vactions decently long (90 days on, 30 off, for one of the companies at least, Triple Canopy I think). Not to mention you get labeled with the bad boy terms "mercenary," "corporate mecenary," "gun for hire," "soldier of fortune," or even "shameless money hungry war mongering killer." Heh. These companies mostly do security work though, like VIP protection, facility protection, and convoy and sensitive material protection. I'm in it for the travel, money, and thrills. There's a lot of money in shedding and protecting blood.

Cincinnati or Newport (maybe somewhere else) SWAT officer. I want to go after the real bad guys, not the pot peddler on the corner. I want to leave him alone.

Shooting/combat instructor for a reputable well paying institution like Thunder Ranch or something.

Gun and maybe sport shop or franchise owner, maybe.

Retired with at least $ 1 million or so hopefully in a kickass city like Vegas, or the boondocks close to a city.

Guns are one of the things I do best. 🙂 What do you think? It wasn't too long was it?

Hand to hand is fine, but I'm a tool man, and guns are the true equalizers. Not to mention PMCs get a relatively wide lattitude as far as gear and weapon choice goes. If I need a dependable gun I'd get an AK-47 since it's rather hard to get them to jam, or better yet a Heckler and Koch G3. The Iraqis and Afghanis ain't punching the Army and Marines in the face that's for sure. That's not to say that martial arts training isn't useful, just not when both sides have guns and ammo.

Say, you're not one of those anti civilian gun ownership boobs are you?

I wanted to be an airforce pilot then an airline pilot, but I find that private military contractee might be a better career for me. They make about the same, and being a PMC seems so much more exciting than sitting in a cockpit for up to 10 hours, not to mention PMC work seems to go well with my type A/B protector guardian/artisan personality. Bah. Who knows though, maybe a being an airline pilot would be fun. I no doubt have less of a chance of getting killed as a pilot. I just hope that pilots will be able to carry guns in the future. Don't believe the nonsense of firing a gun in a plane and having it explode either, Mythbusters busted that myth.
