Try composite charts instead. . They are literally charts of the relationship itself and how it plays out between 2 people. Astrotheme.com has a clickable interactive composite chart feature.

In synastry of a love relationship with regards to long term stability it is neccessary to have one or more of the following types of aspects. The importance of the aspect is descending in the list.
1) positive aspect between North Node in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
Exception: Lilith should conjunct SN (not NN).
2) positive aspect between AC or MC in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
3) positive aspect between Jupiter in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
4) positive aspect between Saturn in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
5) positive aspect between Uranus in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
6) positive aspect between Moon in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
7) positive aspect between Venus in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
8) positive aspect between Mars in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
9) positive aspect between Mercury in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
10) positive aspect between Pluto in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
11) positive aspect between Neptune in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
12) positive aspect between Sun in one chart and personal planet(s) in the other chart.
For example:
1) Type one : MC-trine-Mars : energy/will can help career/reputation.
1) Type one : AC-trine-Mars : one stimulates the other's activity/courage.
7) Type six : Uranus-trine-Venus: flexibility in or due to uniqueness/inventiveness/exceptional/unpredictable/exciting/independent/positive/experiments.
8) Type seven : Mars-conjunct-Pluto: activity/energy. desires/passions/control.
Less important stuff: generational:
Neptune-Jupiter, Uranus-Jupiter, Pluto-Saturn, Saturn-Neptune, Saturn-Uranus, Jupiter-Jupiter, etc.

Does anyone have any good books or other sources in mind which would have in-depth information on relationship synastry aspects? I find a lot of the information online rather conflicting, focusing too much on the good/bad of a specific aspect, instead of taking all of it in account. For example, I get along fantastic with some of the people I have the most squares with, but I have trouble figuring out what makes these bonds so strong astrology wise.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you!
