Mars venus moon sun...what?

Ok people post relationship Q's and they get replies like. Wow is his venus in (insert sign here), or wow he must have a (insert sign here) moon!

What do these different things mean exactly.

I get that your sun is your actual sign for the day you were born and it says a lot about your personality...

But what specifically does your mars, venus, moon, etc.. tell you about yourself?

Sun sign is actually your ego and the overall package.

Moon = emotions

Rising = what people may see you as

Mars = the energy and drive you exude (sexual, romantic, platonic)

Venus = attraction

Also,

Mercury = your communication style

It stays the same. It's tied to your birth time.

What about mercury, jupiter, saturn and then the other planets (which I gather influence generations because they move more slowly?)

As far as I have learned so far, Mercury is communication style . Pluto and Uranus are generational planets.

Not sure about Saturn and Jupiter.
