Like a Fire sign with a Air sign, or Earth sign with a Water sign. How did it go? And how did it work for ya? I've dated a few Water signs, very interesting and probably the longest lasting relationships I had. I don't know about Fire and Air, but I'd hope so for them as well. I think this could apply to opposite signs in each element like Aries with Libra, or Taurus with Scorpio.

I'm an Aries Sun and Leo Moon, and I??ve never dated an Air sign before (mostly Water, and one Earth).
But my oldest friends are Aquarius, and my younger sister is a Gemini, and we seem to get along really rather well.

As far as Libra??_ There's always something magnetic there, but we??re so fundamentally different that it can be really difficult to level with each other. It's something I'm actually presently working on with a Libra friend.
I'm trying this thing, I think it's called —tact,?? but it doesn't really come naturally to me. ?_?__?_? Hur hur.
But seriously, I think the trick with Libra may be finding something we both agree on. It's too easy finding things to butt heads about, but the few times we've both had the same focus on something it was like flawless machinery.

I don't know about other water signs, but Earth for Cancer is generally a bad idea i'm coming to believe, i just don't see you fulfilling our needs. It seems we have to leave our happiness and wants at the door to coexist with you.

Shoot in fact Libras might even be better for Cancer (i hate to admit this)...yikes.

I think for Cancers-it's best to stick with other Cancers-or Fire signs (Fire signs might be crazy, but they're honest with everything, their passion, their needs, etc)

Well, I was able to fulfill a Cancer's needs before she cheated on me so yeah, I'd say Earth sign with a water or fire moon. I wanted a lot with the Cancer I knew, I opened up to her she opened to me, but I believe her wants was her downfall of her and I. Happines? No prob, wants?- well that was a problem for her when it came to guys.

I married a Taurus. I outclassed him on every level; sex, humor, creativity, intelligence, emotions, maturity, etc. He was controlling and abusive so we're divorced and I'll probably stay far far away from that sign because they're too rigid, too worried about what everyone thinks, too uptight all the time, even when they're having fun (I've witnessed this not just with the ex but others). So far the only signs that understand me have been fellow water signs. Scorpio lights the biggest fire for me. Pisces is a little too sweet and weepy, but I always feel protective of them. Leos tend to come across as arrogant and bossy if they're trying to catch my interest, otherwise we get along ok. Haven't dated Aries or any fire or air sign, but I think we're too different in our approach to emotion and life and would be like speaking foreign languages at each other with everyone frustrated in not being understood. Capricorn is very nice but not sure they can keep up with this zany gal. They do love to spoil, though, and I admit that it's rather lovely, but the chemistry is weak.

I've tried Virgo. Usually ends up platonic. 🙂

How so?

Maybe just never met the right Virgo. Not enough chemistry for romance. Definitely nice to chill with though. It's a very comfortable relationship. I feel the same about Cancers. We could kick it, but couldn't envision a relationship.

As far as earth signs, my best experience has been Taurus. Haven't had much luck with Cappies. Met one, but timing was wrong.

Maybe some other time timing will be right. Don't worry, you'll have better luck with a Cappie sometime.

I met a lot of earth signs but never dated any. Closest I got was with a Capricorn. Also had met a taurus with whom the intention was meant to be romantic, but man....nothing was there. I had a lot in common, at least with the taurus, but earth sign are too...bland...boring...too much like my friend to be an exciting lover. I'm sure they thought the same of me. Earth signs don't bring out much in my personality. I bet the world is going to throw an exciting earth sign person my way just to prove me wrong, now.
And as far as opposite opposite....while I seem to be surrounded by taurus, I rarely come across virgos. My one female friend is a virgo aaaanddd...that's about it. Closest guy to a virgo I know is the leo, who's on the cusp. Really sad. Where's all the virgos at?

Slightly off topic but its kind of weird that Earth's opposite sign is in water and Fire/Air. It seems like Fire and Water would be truer opposites and whatnot. Like what would the opposite of fixed Earth be? mutable air it would seem. Most stable/most changing. But i guess not.

Behavior wise imo fire/water seem more similar to each other than air/water
And air/earth being more similar to each other

What makes you think so?

I've always seen some truth here. Practical and logical, impulsive and emotional. Earth and air tend to think with their heads more, for different reasons, but they do. Water and fire follow their gut/react based on emotions, be it in the heat of the moment (fire) or strategically (water).

I can kinda agree with the Fire/Water and Earth/Air thing. But did Albert Einstein think with his gut? Ha, no. But I can see some Earth and Air signs getting along though it might be chaos in the long run due to some Air signs wanting excitement. Believe Earth signs are not the most exciting people. And Fire and Water, can't really speak for that, I only seen it happen once with my friend who's a Scorpio and his ex who was a Sagittarius. It didn't end well. It was basically Passion vs Emotion, and Passion won over my friend's emotions. So yeah, emotional and passionate love fight.

Are yu saying this out of personal experience? If so, i think its because you have so much fire in your chart that you get along with fire signs. Generally, i dont think cancers can handle fire signs. Water puts out flames, fire dries up water.

MoonArtist you sound hot! I'd date you. Try a water sign next. Live dangerously. Get a scorpio. Proceed with caution.

oh, the scorpio thing is a huge YES! Not all work, though. One has the hots for me and has for a long time but I see him more as a friend/mentor than someone to have sex with. Two others just have too much immaturity in them still, too unevolved and that's a huge turn off. But one....well, it's perfection!

"Water puts out flames, fire dries up water."

^^how does this affect those of us who are half water half fire?? I feel like a walking contradiction!

Whats your moon?
Well that might balance it out by having your sun cool your fiery sun nature? My friend is a leo sun scorpio moon and she has it under control. Although sometimes it can make her a bit irrational..
Anyway, i was talking about relationships so dont worry youre fine lol
