Most of the descriptions found on the internet are quite basic, just to suit the placement and don’t cover all possibilities.

The 12th is often said to be the house of the dreams, confusion, subconscious, hidden places and etc but the 12th is the house of the universe too, it’s the house of something bigger than the common sense (maybe this is why people with 12th house placements are often labeled as crazy or dreamy), a planet placed there will have a divine touch for good or bad. Its often a gift from the heaven to the chart owner, the planet receive special qualities. The cons is that its often misunderstood even by the chart owner, its difficult to understand such power or gift, this is why is hard for the chart owner to see the qualities of the planets placed there, its something acting on a broader sense and behind the scenes, Its not from this world anymore. Planets like Venus and Jupiter are the most benefics there but the aspects will tell if the planet there is bringing good or bad things from the gods.

You can see that a lot of celebrities have placements In the 12th house, its like a connection with something unknown for the average person who may seem that like craziness or delusion.

A lot of people who have 12th house placements feel sorry about it, why?! Because we live in a “ Earthy “ world where success=money and fame and this is house is about seeing above all these “ little things “ , its about vision, impracticability, spirits, angels, another dimension…all those “ crazy “ talks.

So provide your insights about the most fascinating house of the zodiac…

I have Mercury, Moon and Venus in 12th house. I guess I could probably talk about each.

With moon in 12th house, I often seem to have a lot of difficulty displaying emotion (if I show anything at all) and I find myself to be hypersensitive. It also seems like I'm partially isolated in my personal life - while my parents are supportive of me for most part, I often get excluded from cool things and feel isolated at times - I don't have many friends and would consider myself a partial loner.

My Mercury in 12th house seems to impact me minimally, but I tend to feel suppressed in expression - I can't stand being judged negatively by other people and therefore almost always censor most of the things I say or write in public. And whenever I finally get a chance to talk or discuss something I enjoy talking about, I often have to stop at some point. This is one of the reasons I prefer anonymity of the Internet and freedom of expression.

Venus in 12th house is painful thing to deal with. In terms of relationships, I almost exclusively develop feelings for someone who I can't be with. More often than not, I feel as if people who I like or care about are taken away from me, this is kind of painful to handle emotionally and I don't want to feel this kind of pain, especially at this young age. I don't show it, but most of this stuff does drill beneath my skin. Sometimes I feel like I should be the good lad and do some charity work to help people in need, primarily because they have suffered just like I have and I know that they could use some help. Hospital workers seem to have 12th house placements according to statistics.

Sometimes I daydream or see weird things during my dreams, most of the stuff is blurry and I want to understand what all of it means. The only beneficial thing is that I can show some creative stuff which I'm good at, such as production of music or fantasy-related stuff. Hell, I can stare at a single picture or single thing for hours and not get bored.

Most of this stuff is very useless to my character and I don't like any of these placements in 12th house. Some astrologers have stated that 12th house placements indicate suffering of some kind - no wonder why it is found on charts of mass murderers.

I can only hope that I'm not going to stay like this my whole life. I just wish there was someone who understood me and who was there for me. I'm often feeling like I'm alone, this kind of stuff is not easy to handle and I have more often than not turned to Internet and video games to stop thinking about the issues in personal life.

I'm a double Earth and an Earth dominant but I have sun and mercury in the 12th house.

I think this makes me very spiritual or at least very interested in the unknown or spirits, dreams and higher powers. I've actually discovered how truly open I am to the spiritual when I've had my past life regression. It was pretty amazing to realize how in touch I am with my subconscious, though I'm a Virgo sun. Most Virgos probably have trouble doing so but having stuff in my 12th house really helps me.

I've had dreams that have always felt like memories to me- things, people, voices, places, sights and sounds that I have recurring dreams about. I've always known they meant something.
It should be quite confusing for a Virgo sun...but you could keep a journal of you dreams and see how they connect with each other or with your real life.

i have sun and moon in 12th. i don't like it.
how come?
i just don't like what i read on the web about having sun and moon 12th 😆

- sun: working in remote area (prison, hospital)

- moon: loner to the core wtf

contradictory with my Sag 10th house.

- working at sea

- travels brings good fortune

- travels a lot

this is why I brought this discussion here. The info in the internet is quite generic about these placements, they dont take into account aspects or combinations.

Yes, the 12th is the house of solitude too and I've read that having your moon there isn't so good but maybe you don't know the power behind your placements by now. Don't think they're useless, this is exactly where the 12th is misunderstood.

I have Venus in the 12th just like you, I don't know how good or bad is yours. Mine is quite good, its a Taurus Venus trine Neptune in a tight orb. Like you, I often fall for people who is unavailable for me, I guess this happen to us because we are looking for a fairy-tale romance so we prefer to dream about a person rather than dealing with their real personality. And I share the same feeling of " I need to help people who suffer " and when I do I feel really good, its really a pleasure.

I have a stellium, Sun Moon, Mercury and Venus all in the 12th and in different signs too. I've learned to make the best of it. It's great for art and metaphysics, occult interests, nature, relating to animals, healing both of self and others through alternative methods, religious vocations, the list seems endless. The 12th house is a house without boundaries. Your planets there are not confined as they would be in other houses because this house merges all and is all encompassing.

I don't know. I'm not a professional astrologer, just a pupil like many others here. I have a 12th house moon, but it is in Aries and conjuncts my Asc. so this makes a difference. Does this 12th house moon conjunct, square or trine any planets that would the make the person un-Pisces like?

Otherwise I'd lean towards a Pisces Moon being more Piscean. Just IMO.
