I hate people who can't spell right either, ugh. People like that are a disgrace to the US, no wonder we look like morons to the rest of the world, we can't even speak our primary language properly.

I have a healthy respect for the english language too. Could you imagine Edgar Allan Poe - "Take dis kiss upon da brow!" Hope our great authors won't be a dying breed someday, either.. Sure, there are new (urban) words for every generation, but I really don't get the laziness and on-going contraction of our everyday language, even if we now live in an ever impatient, fast-paced media age. It really doesn't take THAT much more effort for the greater good.

It's not about slang or blogs, there are people out there that are truly illiterate and ignorant of the entire language.

i know its very sad for real and for that we will be laughed at for at being citizens we should take the full opportunity but some people dont care and thats on them its dere life just make sure u use ur resources to tha fullest.

True, but don't forget, it is very easy to distinguish those who are foreigners (their English is usually more close to proper, just broken) from those who are citizens (they use very well known type slangs, ie. wut, dis, dat, and it's usually not broken).
