I have natal Venus retrograde and while I already have had plans for marriage before the retrograde, we just set a date.

Retrograde is basically a period of time where your venus has her period. Look it up. Its like PMS in the birthchart. I have venus in retr. You kinda reevaluate you whole love life and possibly make changes to it.
