how should i behave?

Hello so this situation is not very weird, is normal. But still i have doubts but it didnt work out as i wanted to.

So 3 hears ago i hooked up witth some friend only ONCE. I knew he would have pulled back, so i did twice as he . He came back but whenever i was mentioning something he was pulling away as well.

I was 25 not very experienced in some hook ups like this. Only some long term traditional dating stories.

SO it was a test for me. This guy was partying a lot, taking drugs , wanted to become popular, craves popularity like noone else. He is a perfectionist in what he does. He is a Virgo and I am Aries.

So for him i was not perfect i felt that, he was testing me i felt i was tested, i felt as i would have been a project he is a master of. So whenever i was accomplishing something, whenever i got some award he was coming back but then checked if i was perfect enough or not and then pulled back again.

Its been 3 years. Of course he had other women in this time. I had a one man. But he is curious of me still. And i was chasing him before. I stopped chasing him i sometimes like his pic on fb because its cultural and thats all. He is very popular now. Lives on social media, does his own thing.

I stopped chasing him maybe 1.5-2 years ago and i let it go. When i let him go in the last 6-10 months he was coing back. Like a kite but didnt want anything from me.

So im not sure if i should still perceive him as a friend, what to do when we meet randomly in a group of people? Take him as a friend or not? Talk to him or not? Know him or treat as a stranger?

I know it didnt work out and i dont want it to work out now. BUt i dont know if i should perceive him as a friend or just a strange person?
