How do you get affected by it? Do you consider yourself an empath? Are you influenced by other people's energies?
I very much do, I can sense how you are feeling and adjust to that in a heartbeat. It's incredibly helpful but I have to be careful of people that are super negative or they just suck the life out of me and I need quiet time, where I can just recharge.
What about you? Do you identify with it?

As I said, I'm only starting to understand it. I've noticed there seems to be a conflict with all my cold and unemotional placements. And then these fewer, but nonetheless incredibly sensitive and empathic placements. I definitely am very strongly affected by other's emotions, and if you're close to me, I feel them just as deeply (kind of draining, with a scorpio boyfriend). It hasn't helped me much yet, because in those moments, it hits me completely unexpectedly, and I'm just overwhelmed with all the energy that I can't understand. Did you have to learn to use it in the right way?

pros:
- the vivid imagination + artistic inclination
- the chameleon-like appearance .. it gives you the ability to relate to different personalities
- it's usually easy to grasp where someone is coming from
cons:
- emotional sponge: I always feel drained after I stayed in a crowded environment too long .. iirc you can use certain techniques to protect yourself but as an introvert I haven't felt the necessity
- absence of a strong sense of identity: yup .. my sense of identity feels very fluid in nature

I do get drained when in emoitoinally charged situations or when around others that are emotionally charged.. took me a long time to not be as affected over the years.
i definitely need "me" time to regroup.

Oh yes I can definitely relate to those... Especially lately I've been having really vivid dreams and my imagination is going wild. Really emotional also. (maybe something in my transits?)
I've always felt very perceptive to auras of strangers on the streets, even overwhelmed with so many different vibes. But it never occured to me that it was connected to my neptune. My feeling of identity is supported by all the stronger placements I have in my chart, so I never feel completely detached from reality, or like I have a chameleon personality. I do however mirror those (or the one) closest to me a lot.

Wow, Vixen, that sounds like you could be a psychic or ... I can't even imagine so much neptune influence ³. Does that have a negative impact on you? Or does it help you?

Grounding is very important, as are boundaries.
The biggest con for me is the projection others apply to me...which I cannot fault them because my personality is fluid so they latch unto some sides of it and put those in a box labeled "This is Damnata, I'm 100% sure of it". I still have fun from time to time to live up to exactly the stereotype someone thinks I am. They see me as arrogant, I will act only arrogant towards them...gives them joy in having figured me out. I laugh so much at that, but don't clear the confusion at all.
Theater brought up this placements in me.
Daydreaming is another problem...I could easily daydream my life away.
Sun trine Neptune is really obvious with me, not sure Mars and Mercury squaring it are as obvious.

I guess we're reading different links because I don't see the emphasis on negative connotations....rather a lot of pro positive stuff too. Balanced.
It might not be a phsyical complication or a problem during childbirth. What is basically saying is that the Neptune in the 1st child would rather linger on another realm than enter this world...there is a dettachment here towards this life, as well as a fondness to humanity. Like we feel...out of place here. This is why identity is fluid becare we are not...rooted to any fundmental trait. Which makes it a problem with principles and values if they are not acquired at some point. It's the same reason I think we are very liable to fall into depression, The grasp on reality, if not backed by other placements, isn't that firm. But there's a world of poetry here that makes it up for any inconvenience..for me at least.
I found the childbirth part interesting...because to me it also applies literally. I was supposed to be born around the date of sept 10th, but my mother went to have it induced because she couldn't stand the August heat anymore. But if it doesn't apply to you..you can go with my soul theory, if you feel out of this realm at times.

It's a tough one...
I've been depressed a few times...
I feel like I'm uncharacteristically careless even with age but that could be my sag traits and or the clash moon and Mercury
I think it makes me clairvoyant
Very forgiving
In touch with music
I absorb emotions well etc
But I'm a wander without a fixed identity. I could also blame it Uranus with my sun or the other 3 planets in 1st house.

I've been really clairvoyant lately especially with Taurus and Scorpios for whatever reason.

I'm still only beginning to relate to it and understand what effect it has on me. Does anyone else on here have this placement? What are the benefits and downsides? Any advice/ experiences/ explanations?
