What house is your sun sign in? First, second, third, fourth, etc...

A few sites have told me my house is in the first whereas others sites have claimed that it is in the third. I think third may be more accurate.

Taken from a website
You need activity and a change of scenery often, or you feel restless. You take pride in your mental agility and your friendships. You are able to adapt quite easily to whatever environment you're in. There is a strong need to communicate your knowledge to others and to learn. Your curiosity is endless. Take pride in your intellectual or communicative abilities without feeling the need to lord it over others or to always be "in the know". You have a solid grasp of facts. You have a strong influence on your peers.

My curiosity killed a cat. Well not really. A car ran over it.

haha...love the title, arm a gettin.

mine's in the 9th:

You have a strong sense of curiosity, and you want all your questions answered as soon as possible. You are interested in studies that reveal the most about the world around you on a broad scale.

You are fascinated by anything concerning foreign and distant places; you want to travel and see the world.

You are tolerant of people's faults and willing to ignore the bad side, as long as there is sufficient good in someone. You do not like people who are too critical or who see only the bad side of things.

i don't get it 100% either, but i guess the house that your sun is in kind of influences the way it manifests itself.

the sign sagittarius rules the ninth house (which is what my sun is in) so it gives some sagittarius-like qualities. such as being interesting in foreign things, traveling, acquiring knowledge, etc. i'd say it's very true for me.

if you're curious to know what house yours is in and how that would affect stuff, you can go to www.astro.com (it's a good/accurate site) enter your birth info and use astro-click portrait. it lets you click on different parts of your birth chart and tells you what it's supposed to mean.

Sun, Mercury and Mars in the 8th house. What's the verdict?

My Sun,Mercury and Mars are all in the same house also.
don't know what it means in the eighth.....I did a chart at astro.com and it tells you what house your things are in and what it means.

Astro seems pretty good for info. Cafe Astrology tells you what house your sun sign is in too.

Yeah I did a bit of digging around and this is what I found:

First House
The Sun in the first house takes on a strong identification with your Ascendant, and produces an individual that is very true to the nature of this sign. The Sun here provides a strong sense of identity, abundant vitality, and personal confidence. A first house Sun produces much initiative, self-assurance, and leadership skills that might not be otherwise reflected in the chart. You are a more spontaneous and outgoing person than your signs may generally suggest, because you are such a "together" person. You have a determination to make something of yourself. You aren't easily swayed by the opinions or desires of others, having your own clear view of goals. The radiance of the Sun in first house usually produces abundant energy and excellent recuperative powers which help you overcome physical ailments that may come along. In the first house, the Sun gives you a sense of yourself that makes it important to feel that you are important, and in general, a person of significant distinction. The nature of the Sun in the first house produces optimism and gives you a very "sunny" disposition.

Impressive stuff I must say...all very true..

...4 planet (stellium) in H11 (public sector ) - SUN, moon, mercury, saturn ..

Eleventh House issues ~ technology, organizations, social groups, clubs, societies, social awareness, equality, shared ideals, hopes, casual friends--one-to-many relationships. Planets in the eleventh house show the "kind of friends" we attract to us, or the "kinds of energy" we experience in relation to groups.

Classical astrologers called the 11th —Bona Fortuna?? (—Good Fortune??) and the —House of Good Spirit.?? The logic, according to Deborah Houlding, a modern expert in traditional astrology, is that a planet in the 11th is distant enough from the Ascendant that it can be seen clearly. Symbolically, it has passed the danger of being combust the rising Sun. And, it has freed itself from the 12th house hazards of incarceration or invisibility. Planets here are elevated above earth, and in their diurnal motion, are heading toward the Midheaven. Attaining one's desires are the promise of this position. Manilus considered the 11th the most fortunate of all the houses, superior even to the 10th. The Midheaven suggests completion; power in the 10th has nowhere to go but down. A planet in the 11th, however, is on the way up. And so this house is festooned with hope, optimism, faith, ambition, and triumph. Lucky, benevolent Jupiter is said to —joy?? in this house.

SUN (drive, personality) in 11th (sun+house=where you want to shine) - socially aware, have high aspirations and an optimism that wins others to your cause. Good points: idealistic, creative, unique Bad points: tendency to be domineering with others.

Also: if not afflicted, would also mean, among other things, that you should get along well with Leo Sun sign folks, or at least with those who have strong Leo emphasis in their charts. Friends would tend to be showy and attention seekers.Your hopes and wishes would tend to be a little grand as well. If you have this placement, you should work well with groups, unless, of course, other factors interfere (such as Saturn sitting here with the Sun).

Mercury in H11 with the Sun in any placement creates a strong need to exchange ideas with like-minded people. Intellectual rapport is usually the most common basis for the friendships formed by people with Mercury in this house.

True enough, ultimately there has to be a meeting of the minds, or i tend to get bored, indifferent or detached.
