That's a great start. Look if the Nodes conjunct each other's planets. They are like hooks in a relationship, very hard to let go as they are Karmic.
Also Saturn contacts in synestry need to be present for long term success.
Btw, that venus mars conjunction is FIRE. Hope you are mars and her venus? Within how many degrees is the conjunction?
