What represents a person destiny in a natal chart? The MC or the North Node?

Of course there are other factors like free will, culture, background and many others but from na astrological point of view, what would be the most accurate indicator?

Isn't it supposed to be North Node?

Mine is in Taurus and in this life I should reach that state of self who focuses on the material world.

I don't think I have reached that state just yet, considering how .... not necessarily spiritual, but more involved in the pyschic sense of my sorroundings, but heck I'm no psychic at all. Or I don't know.

I mean. I can just choose to readily believe the undercurrent to be true, but! of course we should implement logic, right?
