Posted by notafollowerOf course nothing changes overnight with the change of a calendar year. Like you say it's just an excuse to get together, celebrate, laugh and spend some bucks. Many people enjoy this. That's all there is to it really.
Seriously and enjoy the fireworks and get togethers and all - but i dont get what people are celebrating. Whats there to celebrate about an upcoming year? Do people really think their lives are gonna change overnight making all these new yrs resolutions and crap. Lol
If you didnt manage to get your shit done in 2015 , 2016 is not going to be any diff.
Celebrate real accomplishments not the end of a mere calendar.
Then again, just an excuse for people to get wasted & spend the money they dont have on shit they dont need.
Really in a sense living isn't easy. Just being the sperm and egg that got to make the exact baby you turned out to be was near impossible. Every year millions of people die, yet you still stand. Its about just taking a moment to appreciate life imo.

Other years it was a sign that I made it through the year. It also signaled that it was time to get et ready for the summer and travel plans. This new years is miserable though.
