What in people's charts indicate/influence our taste in music?

I find this really fascinating, both music and astrology, both being so personal to each individual and like fingerprints of our souls.

I'm guessing maybe our moon, venus, mercury, and mars? The mix of emotion, aesthetic, communication, and how we express our action and desire. You know what, probably everything though. I bet it all influences us with what we are inclined to like musically.

What about aspects? Do you think there are certain aspects that would increase the liking of certain kinds of music? etc.

So what do you think? Lets discuss it! Music + Astrology.

Yeah, I would like to know also. My music taste is extremely versatile.

Neptune is music and culture. I tried once to divide up the sound of my favourite music and match the levels to the known natural frequencies of the planets but that failed badly lol plus I only had about 8 bands of sound on my EQ for 10 planets.

I didn't know what I was doing.

Jupiter also weighs in there. The distance between Jupiter and all other planets matches up to the distance in their natural vibrations. You can measure sound and harmonies far more accurately from Jupiter than you can from Earth (in theory).

I was wondering if Neptune came into this - I almost wrote it down too. That is very interesting.

So how do you do this measuring with Jupiter?

I am a Pisces sun...with no other water, just fire and air with Neptune in the 1st....and adore music, pretty much all of it except country...I've tried but I just cant...

Aqua venus definitely makes you appreciate quality regardless of the genre.

In theory, if a track were to land in the green zone it'd resonate with Saturn, Jupiter Uranus and Neptune dominated charts.

Purple - Earth and Venus-dominant

Pink - Mars-dominant

Orange to Green - Mars and Pluto dominant sound.

This one is Mars-Pluto. As I said though, I never really got it to work correctly (or look dramatic enough on screen to be worthwhile). It takes a lot of tweaking for just a theory. I once ran it by @TMV when it was just an idea

I like rock and alternative, maybe a bit of pop. I cannot stand electronic, instrumental, or really monotone/song with unusual beats.

My favorite band, for instance, is Rise Against. I like their sound and I like their lyrics. They have that justice and righteousness theme which I love. I have a big thing with fairness/justice. I have neptune in cap in the 10th, which I feel like could contribute to this. I also have jupiter in libra in the 6th. Overall, though, I feel as though capricorn is a sign that's more geared towards the rock genre and I'm cap dominant. But, what do I know

Yeah. I read that if you have ascendant and Venus conjunct in synastry you can have the same taste in music and when I was riding in a car with someone who conjuncted my ascendant, he played GREAT music. I wanted to ask who it was by but I didn't speak up. We had the same taste. And I like Drake because... He's a Scorpio mercury and I feel like he verbalizes feelings so well! Like 'racing against myself but I'm a couple steps behind' to describe trying to be in a relationship with a woman who's been with so many other men and trying to be special to her or 'life is like a picture it'd be nice if you just take it. Or let me take it for you' is so sweet and deep! 'Even though I like being in your past you got a bright future behind you' he's a part of her that's behind her, but could potentially turn out better if they got back together. I love it! Its amazing.

But I like a wide variety in general.. I just tend to like ambient most often. Music can be very transformitive for me, I have pisces in the 5th, I feel like that has to have something to do with it and a libra moon, so beautiful melodies that are very deep and emotional really get to me, I have water in all my fire houses, maybe that's contributing, then again that makes my water houses all air...

I'd like to read into this more though, very interesting 🙂
