Why do different birth chart calculators...

Give different results?
I have tried several and they vary, I get Leo sun sign- then Virgo.
Then Gemini rising- then Cancer rising.
There are some consistencies, always Cancer moon, Sag mars etc but where does the conflicting info come from?

Any ideas?

Yeh, okay that's a good one... Actually you are RIGHT!
One site was obviously American but because it had country and city of birth as options I thought perhaps
the time zone issue would be automatic but, I think that is it!
Hmmmm, interesting....

But I am still not certain which is accurate, silly internetz. So confusing.

Also, in case any one else is wondering... I just did some quick searching and a couple of sites say that a couple of factors will contribute to different aspects etc...
Basically firstly they state that being computer generated results they naturally do not have the human 'flair' etc for interpreting so etching so difficult as
Human nature.
And secondly they mention something about the computer incorporating a 17th Century astrologers nitty gritty sub semi planetary and cometary info
which is apparently varied and hard to actually pin down... So that will create some of the conflicting results...

Hi nycitycops, yes... was just wondering because I am fascinated by astrology
but it's hard to follow when things aren't consistent.

For example I was reading another thread talking about Sun-Moon opposition, and I was really interested in
the breakdown offered and wondering is that me?
So I checked my chart on two other sites and discovered Sun and Moon were sextile not opposition, but I had been relating to everything in the thread before I knew the difference.
So, really, how accurate/ valid is astrology?
Points to ponder... hmmmm
