Love both the German & Parisian French accents (and languages), definately ..

Ugh, I think the German accent sounds horrible! I try to get rid of mine but I still have to work on it ):

After a while it's quite endearing. Do all Germans go "hmmm...(then inhale exhale)..hhmm...yah" after being asked a question?! Though it happens even if i haven't asked anything just made a point!!

Most accents are nice anything different and exotic sounding.

Is this a joke that I don't get?

The liking of an accent isn't relative to gender.

If what you are implying is that the accent of a wo/man is a basis for interest .. then it's a no wonder why relationships are so fucked up = there's no real foundation to stand on.

To me it's relative to gender. I like scottish boys accents, but not the girls.

Why would anyone use an accent to determine if they're going to date someone?

What's your favorite accent?

Aren't all American accents pretty much the same except mid west which is supposedly plain-ish....and cowboys.
Debate please 😛

The accents here are regional like anywhere else. There's some states that have particularly unique accents...like New York, (obviously) Minnesota, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Georgia/Alabama/Mississippi, etc.
You know it when you hear it.

But places like Florida, where I'm at, we don't really have a very distinct accent - probably because we're a tourism state, and people from everywhere else move here with their own accents. But even then, I can tell a native Floridian from a transplant...there's a little hint of southern and something else there.

Pretty cool site for accents:

About accents in the U.S... what you hear on TV is definitely not how we all sound. Being from Seattle, I do pretty much have that indistinguishable, typical American accent but we're pretty much like that all up and down the west coast of the country. What do people think of when they think movies/actors? Hollywood, California... which is on the west coast.

Then you have people from the mid-west where there's kinda of a mix. There are a LOT of Scandinavians in the U.S. and the ones that reside in the mid-west have a bit of a scandinavian influence in the accent.

There are also southern (cowboy) accents but there are certain areas in the south, such as louisiana, where there is a lot of french influence. deep in the louisiana bayous you will hear the strangest blend of french and southern U.S. accent from the natives. i can barely understand them myself!

The east coast has the most mix going on. florida is pretty much its own entity so i don't count them as either south or east coast. a lot of them sound like me for the most part. then you got new england accents and new york is riddled with different dialect. there's a difference between those who are from upstate NY to Brooklyn to Queens, etc.

Sagi

South African (if you don't know, it's like a mix between Australian and British and even African - it's hot.)
New York Italians (obnoxious at first, totally hot after a while)

+1 on Bling's accent, MsP (playa playa) Lol
Mr Nice's accent is nice too from what I remember.

Ah is that the same as an accent from Zimbabwe? We have a guy here at the college who's from zimbabwe and his accent is quite nice 🙂
