Beet juice? It looks like blood. Gross, now I just of all types of blood.

Well, since they drink blood which is the life source of humans..they'd have to drink chlorophyll

Just this morning I was watching that show Disappeared on ID & this woman was working on a story about real life "vampires". They had their own underground club where they feasted on stolen blood (made into cocktails), stolen from hospitals. And placentas! Eww. Anyway, she is now missing but excerpts of what she saw there was published. I'm bad with names so I forgot her name or the newspaper she was working for.

That's one possibility. She lived a troubled life of drugs, stripping & working as a freelance writer on controversial/dangerous stories & people.
