I'm dating a younger guy. Let him go do his own thing. Party with his boys etc. You don't want him resenting you and the relationship cause he didn't get to experience his 20s...
As far as mothering, be emotionally supportive. Encourage him, cheerleader the fuck out of him. But under no circumstances become his maid and cook. Thats a slippery slope towards unsexy mom-ness.

Define "mothering" him...
I am just overly there for him sometimes I think? sometimes put my problems or issues aside to focus on his and try to help fix his problems.. it's kind of hard to explain!!
His actual mom lives in a different province and whenever something happens he messages her right away. from time to time he will message me the same stuff.... I probably remind him alot of his mom (they have a good relationship) but I dont know if this is a good or bad thing if I remind him of his mom?? :/

But as time went on, I got bored with being a mother figure to guys......I would rather be with a strong man, but we are all different
After I had our son, I realised the only person I wanted to mother is him .... not a fully grown adult

There's a lot of "I think" and "I feel" here.
Has he told you that you remind him of his mother? Does he call you mommy? Does he want you to dress him in a diaper and have you treat him like an infant?
If not, what's the big deal? I think you're projecting your insecurity into the relationship. Stop.
A relationship is supposed to a mutually beneficial arrangement for both people and allow for growth in both people. If the relationship you have isn't stifling or controlling for either of you, then I don't see a problem.
Plenty of men and women are attracted to people with traits similar to their parents. It isn't wrong if those traits are positive traits. If a man has a good relationship with his mother and admires the warmth and compassion she showed raising children, and he seeks out a partner with similar traits, why is that wrong? Should he instead look for some cold, trashy skank, instead?

He is a mommy's boy. His mom and I have similar charts and are very similar and get along AMAZINGLY...
He is a sensitive soul, feels deeply and I have realized that sometimes I am mothering him as well, instead of just being a woman.
