Cancer moon

ok so here it is: my bf is a Sag with Cancer moon and I wonder (or rather my poor Venus in Cancer is wondering):

how long after a divorce, break up and such do Sags with Cancer moon, his Mars is in Scorpio if that makes any difference... hold onto their ex gf as in emotional attachement. I think my Sag is still attached to his ex wife of 16 years somehow. We met after they divorced, but I can't help but feel that way. His moon is in Cancer, and his Mars in Scorpio with Venus in Sag. Not sure if that helps. He says they are good friends, for the kids benefit - and I respect that, I dont want a man who doesn't make things work for the kids. But I'm just feeling off and uneasy

any light on this?

How long ago was the divorce? Who wanted it?

in the spring. she cheated on him while he was deployed a year ago and she wanted the divorce in the end. he wanted to work it out till the end, but said, once the papers are done, than it's over. she moved in with the guy she cheated on him with.
I think it's over. but being a watery Gem I can't help but think there will be something there for a long time. it drives me cookie.

I worry I'm in this too soon. I worry that he may be with me, because it gives him some illusion of something that he wants.
