Cancers, if you want to keep a Leo in your life

Hi, all. I've been reading this site for some time now but never posted before. I am a Leo (August 13) and I have fallen in love with a beautiful Cancer man. I am totally confused as to why a person (cancer or not) would behave this way. I have known this man for about 10 years now but I never saw him as anything but an older brother. We started getting close back in April (only emotionally) but things started to heat up last month. A few weeks ago it was lots of phone calls and texts. I tell him I adore him all the time and he responds "your words are magical and transform me to another place and make me love you more". Exactly a week ago I received a call from him and he tells me that he had a picture that we took together in a group developed and he has been kissing my face and lips all day (corny but so sweet). We talked and we said that we missed each other. Then nothing. I never heard from Mr. Cancer again. We have never kissed or had any type of physical contact. He is a family friend (actually a friend of my fathers but he's only 10 years older than me) and I have adored him from a far but never thought in a million years that anything would ever come of it. It was like a dream when he started to text and call me and now it's gone.. poof.. no argument, nothing. He just vanished into thin air like a magic act.

My question to you cancers is why would you want to drive someone away by behaving this way? I've been upset about this for days now and I decided last night that I don't want to pursue this any longer. It baffles me as to why a person (cancer or not) would want to frustrate another to this point? If any of you have ever seen the movie "How to lose a guy in 30 days". Well, this version is called "How to lose a Leo in one day". Why cancer, why do you do this?

Hi Tahlia, I'm slowly realizing that. Should have just kept it a crush.. less painful. Shellshocker, I know the Lolita things sounds sexy but I'm 39 and he's 49. So, it's not like I'm a teenybopper in love with an older man but still he's been a family friend forever and has even stayed with us for long periods of time at our home. Of course at that time, I did not feel that way about him but I guess it's still a little taboo. I don't think that's the reason he's done his disappearing act though. Well, I'm done fanticizing. Back to real life I guess.

Is this what you refer to as the cancer "hot and cold" b/c I was getting phone calls about 6 times a day and now it's been a week and not a single word. It's hard to relax and I'm trying to be as un Leo as I can be but I feel totally confused.

Well I think you really should give him the benefit of the doubt. The full moon was on the 23rd, and the week prior to the full moon is when Cancers can be counted on to behave in unpredictable manner. Hell only last night I was sobbing, and listening to BB King. lol! So yeah, I can see him over there pining away at you, so engrossed in how he feels that he forgets to include you in it. lol! Oh Cancers.....I love us.

Cancer doesn't like confrontation. On the other hand, we also hate loose ends and leaving others hurt, so he really should've manned up and told you where he stands.
Then again: if it hasn't been long, he may just be hibernating... in which case, there's absolutely nothing wrong.
