Are Cancers big on procrastinating about things?

I have a friend who knows there are changes to be made in their life but the dragging of heels, the tears, the fear of change is slowly eating away at them. They are depressed and upset most of the time, struggling through the day, not sleeping, not eating.

I have sat and listened so many times and they see the good at the end of it but STILL.... procrastination rules.

Argh! Help me out here please. Do I get firm and say "Look! YOU need to grow a pair and face this" or just stay on the sidelines? It's very hard to see the upset and the depression all the time 😢

Not going to lie procrastination has gotten the best of me at some important times in my life. Not due to the fact of depression or sadness but just out of pure laziness haha. For me I need someone to give me a swift smack in the face and say "Do it to it! Don't be sitting around doing nothing, it isn't going to get done by itself you know"! It's either that way or I'll need to good incentive to get off the procrastination groove, like a real good one haha. But yeah I'm going to say give it to your cancerian friend straight, it might hurt your friend's feelings a bit but it's better to let them know what's going on rather than letting them sit it out and mope or ponder on it it all day long.

If you can, try to be nice but firm at the same time about the whole situation. Eventually they'll snap back into reality.

lol, thanks for that. So a firm but kind tone, right?

This whole procrastinating thing with them I think is insecurity ans a lack of belief. It's deep seated and I don't know why, they are incredibly capable in life, intelligent and smart... but the dragging of heels is unbelievable! It's a situation that is affecting a number of people and although they know, STILL there is procrastination and all manner of excuses for it.

I'm at my wits end actually. My patience has worn thin, as has the patience of another friend of theirs.
