The Devil Wears Prada

Okay, I normally prefer "Patton" and "Rocky," but my film pursuits cannot always be followed in the company of a lady. Therefore, since Meryl Streep is a magnificent actress and Cancer, I decided to give this film a try. Streep is of course brilliant as Miranda. How do you feel about her, and what do you think of this movie?

I went out with a woman once. It was cool. You're lucky to be in someone's company.

Funny how life works.. I promised myself to never have to work for a boss like Miranda.. And shortly after reading this thread I had a work interview where the hr described the position 'a bit like Devil wears Prada movie but not as harsh' hmm not sure what that really meant. It just feels like a bunch of signs coming my way today.

I once worked for a turd who made Miranda look like a Saint by comparison.

I fucking love that movie.

My only problem with the film was that loser boyfriend she was with.

The guy acted like a whiny little baby when she had to work on his birthday.

If he were a real man, he would have shrugged it off and suggested they go out during the weekend or something.

God knows my birthday has fallen on a workday before, and I simply suggested the lady and I host a dinner on the following Saturday if she had to work.

I just can't stand sniveling "men" because they are not MEN. They are wimps, and I don't see what women like about them.

That character was testimony as to why women should date older men.

Film is a lot better than I expected. Streep obviously owned the show but you think it's probably going to go nowhere for about a half hour until it makes a very good point about Hathaway's prentiousnous looking down at the fashion culture. The rest of the film was just funny.

Yeah, I kind of felt that way at first too.

We usually trade off in terms of movies.

I got her to watch "Memoirs of an Invisible Man" (Chevy Chase, Darryl Hannah) beforehand, so I had to succumb to her choice thereafter.

NEVER SAW THIS ONE BUT HAVE SEEN A LOT OF HER WORK SHE MAY BE THE BEST EVER.
