Almost every article I have read says that the male is the runner twin (or the one who flees the connection) and the female is the chaser. The reason given is that females are more emotionally intuitive and have a greater understanding of the connection's depth, while the male doesn't understand what is going on and fears the connection.
My situation with the virgo is the exact opposite. I was the one who was aware, almost from the beginning. She is the one who ran, unable to process the connection or handle the depth of emotions. I'm trying to make sense of the role reversal.
Cancer is the emotionally intuitive sign. Virgo is rationalization. My emotional depth led me to understand what was going on, her mind overthought the situation and couldn't process the emotion.
