Aquarius Rising says: A-HA!

I've found the answer to the eternal question of the basic foundation of astrology posed by skeptics worldwide. However, just because my idea proves the possibility of astrology and the fact that celestial bodies MIGHT have influence over the everday happenings of life on Earth, it does NOT prove that astrology has practical use in anything but INTROSPECTION. And if you practice introspection, you shouldn't need astrology anyway since you'll just be finding out what you already know.

My thought is that the sun sign determines the person's ego, right? Right. Also agreed should be the fact that a person's ego is how they see themselves. And everyone agrees that the rising sign determines a person's appearance to others and the whole of the outside world (outside of their own head anyway) and is a result of the person's sun sign (ego, how one perceives oneself) and their moon sign, which rules emotions, and emotions are how people react to situations and other people in the world.

Anyway, my point is that you REALLY need to know a person's rising sign, as that is what you're going to see the most, not the sun sign, unless you're in a discussion about how this person feels about themselves. Even then, what you see will still be a manifestation of their rising sign. And you need to know the exact time of a person's birth, as every couple of hours the sun goes through another sign, starting with Aries from midnight until 2 am I think and ending with Aquarius from 10 pm until midnight. So, in order to find out if you and a particular person are compatible, you need to know not only their birth date but also their EXACT BIRTH MOMENT, talk about an inconvenience! Most people would think it weird if you asked them their birth date for astrological verification, but how about asking their birth time too?! Lots of people I know don't even know their exact birth times, rendering astrology in the use of finding out about other people useless and bringing it down to simply guess and check. If you feel a strong influence in one person, then you might be able to pin when they were born, but it's too time-consuming, awkward, and just plain weird to do it the other way around and ask for someone's birth time first.

All this is why my best buddy Dan can be a Saggittarius, but have people who have known him for years say they've never heard a word from him. It's how my Dad can be a shy Leo but my friend Dayna can be the perfect role model for Leos in generations to come! It's also how most people, when trying to guess another's sun sign, would get it wrong. It's all about the ascendant.

But you guys here on this forum are great people, and I love being with great people, so I'll stay and try to help with people's problems in posts as much as anyone else on this list would. However, I doubt I'll throw in much astrology. It's not about that, anyway, life isn't. Life is about getting by with a little help from your friends- just like the song!

I am glad that you learned that, Josh...I am sure that by this time, you do not like me much...but, I have been here longer and can see the whateverness it is that you have...so, take it or leave it...I will read your posts...

Yes! Real life is what really counts...regardless of any other influence...astrology, numerology, palmistry, tarot...

Hmmmm....it just now struck me as curious, what do you mean you "can SEE the whateverness it is that I have?" Can a person actually detect that in someone else? It would make sense, since lately I've been able to tell a lot about people I never saw before, the whole Scorpio "looking into someone's soul" comes to mind. I was doing that, unconsciously actually, really just wondering what she was thinking, with my "Valentine" backstage while we were talking and she kept asking me what I was thinking. I think I creeped her out a little. Mostly though what I do is I can almost always pin a Zodiac sign on somebody right away, then later when I have time if I need to think on it, I can go a little deeper into what makes 'em tick. I don't like going by my gut, though, too much room for error later on.

Perhaps I worded it badly...but, I do think that you do know what I mean. I am talking about you asking questions and then stating that you are "a loner" and that what you learn, you prefer to learn by yourself...to me...that is "whateverness"...what is the point in asking questions if you don't want answers or opinions?

Ahh, well...I got tired of the astrology bit myself..it is interesting...but, it is much more fun to goof off and have fun!
