Let me get this straight. There was Alpha, then Beta, then Sigma and now there’s Omega?!

Alpha male

The alpha male is an act that is performed by males usually in their teens and twenties who act tough, are loud, and have to be the center of attention or they feel insecure. When a man is successful and in his thirties he no longer acts this way because he has grown up and realized that the entire alpha male act is phony.

Beta male

An unremarkable, careful man who avoids risk and confrontation. Beta males lack the physical presence, charisma and confidence of the Alpha male.

Delta male

A Delta male is usually the prey of Alpha males. Delta males tend to be weak not only in physique, but also in mental capacity. Delta males usually enjoy being dominated and tormented by Alpha males, and usually go so far as paying for this treatment. Delta males are the most pathetic males in existence, closer to pansies than real men.

Sigma male

The outsider who doesn’t play the social game and manage to win at it anyhow. I’ve found that sigmas and Alphas usually work out to be excellent friends because the Alpha never feels that his social dominance is threatened by the sigma. The Sigma is an alpha-like character that the Alpha can connect with, but never fear his own status being undone. Everyone else is vaguely confused by them.

Omega Male

A confident and capable male that doesn't seek approval or abide by social hierarchy. He sets his own goals, and defines his own success.

Zeta Male

Zeta male refers to the 4th social hierarchy position among males. (alpha - top, beta - second, omega - the rest). Zeta males consciously reject a the traditional social position as it is based on how they are valued by women. Zeta's can be straight, bi or gay.
