This specific article isn't as good as the other ones because of this...

"They both have big egos and want recognition for high status, but ultimately, the Capricorn sun is much more concerned with outward appearances and the Capricorn moon is more concerned with how they feel about themselves inwardly."

You can say that about any sun and moon difference.

Oh well.

"the Capricorn sun is more concerned with how successful they appear to others and the Capricorn moon is more concerned with how good they feel inside"

"Give a Capricorn sun and Capricorn moon $ 50,000 each to spend on a car. The Capricorn sun would rather spend it all on a nice car that serves their ego and impresses people, while the Capricorn moon would rather spend the money on an ice-cream van "

as a cap moon I could care less about high status and success, but again I've always been successful so maybe its that I take it for granted.

but I know when I'm working on something my intentions aren't to rank higher than the rest but to get over with it & help.

Yes, Cap suns want success for the status it brings; Cap moons want success for the security it brings, both materially and emotionally. Status is fine and may come with success, but it's not the goal for us moons.

That is not true by any means. I care about success for security, status doesn't do shit if you don't have food on the table.

Well that's true! I guess it's a theoretical/ ego only description that doesn't take into account reality or other placements.

I've known a few caps though who really focus on position/status, and hide the fact that they might have a crappy car or tiny apartment because they want to look more financially well off than they are. I'm sure that's not solely a Cappy trait, but the ones I know who did that were stereotypical Cap suns.

Maturity has a lot to do with it too.

From reading this I sound way more like the Cap moon placement than the sun placement but then I do appreciate success and would risk sometimes, though one can say I'm just reckless with my 1st house behavior.

Maybe Saturn in Taurus retrograde contributes to this? My sun also trines saturn in a loose orb, so does my mercury and ascendant, and they're all in Cap.

My boy is a Cap moon and I don't relate to much of this. There is a wariness/cautiousness there, and there's also a drive for success but it's not in detriment to the rest of his character. It instead keeps him grounded and makes him patient beyond his years and despite his Leo-dominant. He definitely has control of it, instead of being ruled by it.
