Yes I do. I have a few. There's my Colt model 1878 which fires 10 gauge shells. 10 gauge is a bit hard to find where I'm from but it's pretty powerful. My dad gave it to me for my 12th birthday and the recoil knocked me down that day. I laugh I think of it. I have a Glock 22, A Colt Single Action Army model 1873 which I bought online, my Colt M1911 that my grandfather passed down since he fought in World War I and II, my AR15, my AK-47 ( I have to keep it on Semi-auto, it's illegal to have full auto in NC), and my crossbow which I use for hunting. I use em all in self defense (with the exception of the crossbow which I use for hunting)and I have permit for all of them, my dad helped me with paying them off since the cost is around $ 250 last time I checked out. So you Capricorns gun enthusiasts and do you happen to own a few?

Really never. But you can never be too careful now these days. I keep em just in case I run into a problem.

It's no secret I have weapons. I carry every day, everywhere. I'm not going to list what I have though.

I didn't always carry... and ran in to "a problem" once and was defenseless

I was attacked by a stranger who was under the influence. It wasn't pretty. Physically, I was covered in bruises, my wrists looked like I was wearing 2 black puffy wristbands, I have permanent neck and knee injuries, my face was unrecognizable. A woman and her son happened to be passing by and scared him off. If they hadn't done that, there's no doubt in my mind that I would be dead right now. Had I been carrying, I could have stopped him before he dragged me out of my car.

Don't like weapons? Don't own them. I, however, have learned my lesson and happily exercise my 2nd.

It doesn't seem very practical to me, that you've said that you born during a time of social upheaval in Africa. And you would be willing to go anywhere and fight injustice at age 19. But be in complete opposition to individuals in America, having a right to defend themselves. If anything, you of all people should be able to draw on your own personal experiences, and know the value of a armed society against tyranny. These types of things have happened throughout the course of history, where citizens were stripped of the ability to defend themselves against oppression. An interesting youtube video, that touches upon this history is. (Innocents Betrayed- a history of gun control).

The best sound in the world is a chin-chink of loading a shotgun shell in the chamber.

The best smell in the world is the gunpowder smell from a freshly discharged firearm.

The best feeling in the world is that feel of power when when the bullet leaves the barrel.

The sexiest site in the world is a man who can handle a firearm with ease and confidence. Turns me on!

*sighs of satisfaction*

The smell of sinew and gunpowder, the sound of the bullet casing hitting the ground and the next round loading through, the sound of the bullet hitting its target with accurate precision and breaking the sound barrier as it zips by. The thought of shooting guns gives me an adrenaline rush.

Wow all us caps are getting horny around here 😛. And I thought only money turned us on? 🙂 The best dates are certain adrenaline rushes like mountain climbing or go carts. Get her revved up. 🙂. Obviously the gun issue, isn't solely about caps though.

Well yeah. I was just asking Caps in general if ya had guns or if you're gun enthusiasts. And to answer the first. Money could get me turned on. Depends, if shooting Kim K in the ass and getting $ 100 bills all over the place and making rain money? Then hell yeah! 😄

I'd like to get a long range rifle, but it probably won't happen for a while.

Why not?

I don't have the money and there's much more important things to take care of before buying a rifle for personal enjoyment. Medical history might also prevent it, but I'd hope not.

2nd amendment of the US Constitution

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The reason we have the 2nd amendment in the US Constitution is to keep a free state in order to prevent a totalitarian state from coming in.

Even though we are in challenging times with gun shootings at public places, all gun control laws including having to register for one for the government to collect data on who owns them need to be struck down as unconstitutional. The way to do it would be to challenge the laws in your state. Some states are way worse than others. Illinois is loaded with gun control laws and look at all the shootings in Chicago despite all their gun control laws. The reason gun control laws are in place is to gather data on who owns them to be able to disarm citizens.

Does anyone disagree? Or have any others thoughts on it?

I live in Texas. We probably have more liberal gun laws than any other state. It is very easy to get a concealed handgun permit, so you never know who is packing - keeps you on your toes. lol!

Really, guns don't kill people, it's people who kill people. Track the trends and find the root causes as to why people go about the public shootings - is it ignored mental health issues the healthcare industry has ignored, do people need anger management, criminal activity, etc? Fix those problems. Stiffer gun laws just put a band-aid on the problem and doesn't solve anything.

Does anybody ever shoot trap or skeet? I personally like shooting trap the best. The rules where I go for shoooting, only allows you to have one shell in your gun for trap if others are around you, for safety reasons. But I have a confession to make, sometimes I shoot trap in rapid succession with five shells. If nobody is on any other fields, and I'm by myself. That is fun, I would say I'm like skeet, skeet, skeet, skeet, and skeet 🙂, but its trap. Just a little lil Jon and Dave Chappelle reference. Yep believe it or not I have been known to break some rules here or there 🙂.

The government will never confiscate guns. They will control gun owners through the manipulation and restriction of ammunition. I believe they are already requiring manufacturers to produce new ammo with a "shelf life" (primers, powders useless) after a period of 6 months. Also, the way the various gov't agencies have been buying up ammo (billions of rounds at a time), it's been difficult to get as it is (starting to loosen up now a tad bit). Government contracts nust be honored first so technically the government could buy up all the ammo, and place future orders for ridiculous quantitites, to keep the ammo out of Joe 6 packs hands.

Yep, ammo is where gun control will transpire. You can swing your rifle really hard at the bad guys I suppose?

Texas is a truly great state. i have not seen the american spirit of freedom and love of Constitution and respect for the founding fathers anywhere else. Texas has that heroic energy to it that gives me some hope. There are a lot of defenders of liberty from that state. Ron Paul is my favorite texan ofcourse.

I do however fear that these guys are not going to stop in their efforts. After all this is ancient plan going back to old europe where they hatched this scheme for global control.

Long live the fighting spirit of the texans!

Texas should have remained it's own country.

they want to take everything. yeah they will try to take the ammo but they will also take the guns. the government fears the people and to assuage their fear they will try to make the people as powerless as possible.

they will use countless tragic situations to first restrict and then to fully confiscate the guns.

they will brand gun owners terrorists(LOL) and then come after them. They will constantly progress to force the people to make a tradeoff between security and perosnal freedom.

They may not take every gun but they will try to confiscate guns eventually and they will come after any gold too.

You must not understand the authoritarian spirit and lust for power.

I don't disagree with your sentiment in any way. I get where you are coming from. Government over reach is staggeringly scary at this point.

But, they will NOT confiscate guns. They don't have the balls, the personnel, or the willing subjects to try an emply such a stupid undertaking. Let them try. The American spirit is still alive in many, many people. Door to door gun confiscation would result in a massive need for bodybags...and not for the gun owning citizen, if ya know what I mean.

I agree with Gandlaf about Texas. I love the bumper stickers in the tourist shops that say "Don't mess with Texas!"And the southern hospitality you folks have is welcoming and warm. And no matter what you guys go through, you seem to keep that southern hospitality which says a lot about the people from there.

Thanks to you and to Gandalf. Texans are a proud and resourceful people. We are survivors. Love it here and proud to be a Texan!! Couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
