Yes, Capricorns never want it to end. All we want is for it to get better in time...
I have watched my mom and her "boyfriend" of many years and they just puzzle me. The are both Caps. It doesn't matter what happens, they inevitably always gravitate back towards each other. She gets fed up with him yet will call him up months and vice versa. They're like children. LOL

Why do you think that is?

Two Caps are funny imo.
No offense, but they both sound like commitement phobes too. As long as the feelings are there, they will do this dance forever. Sounds like they are beyond comfortable at this point, and if comfort is also there then it's a wrap. Plus, they get that break in between they may need...perfect for them lol. It'll take the other person to be the bigger/smarter person and cut ties imo.
This is a really interesting thread because I always thought that "the average Cap" is quite good with closure.
They certainly don't show many outward signs of sufferance.
It's more like a book. When I don't want to read any further, I will close the book. Some books I don't go back to read in years. Only time can tell when this will happen...
Is it possible that once you value someone dearly, it's almost impossible to move on, even friendships and so on?
My best friends are Cap ladies and I have known them since childhood. It doesn't matter how much time passes, they always seem to make a point in keeping the friendship going. I am the same way though.

That makes sense...

You mean putting effort into a friendship even if it can't be a romantic one?
yes friendships too, I notice Caps hang on to their friends
I think yes to a certain extent we do, we just put on a front. But when nobody else is around, we think more about it than other signs. We generally don't let our walls down for just anybody. So if something does end its devastating, but we'll still keep the aloof exterior. But inside, we hold on to those memories. It depends on the circumstance, whether or not we're willing to end things. But either way it affects us.
Damn you Monica from first grade. What did Joey have that I didn't. I was a better athlete than him. Sure he had that perfect straight hair that was all the rave, but my hair had personality. I always took the fall for you at the reading table when we got in trouble. And those pudding snack packs didn't buy themselves. I took orders at donut shop and wiped off tables every Sunday. Wait what was this thread about? Oh yeah closure. I think caps handle it well. Lmao 🙂
I don't believe anyone can be replaced. Sure, physically, someone can take the place of someone else, but how they make you feel or the energy and chemistry is never the same.
A hard time with closure :: For example, I watch my mom who is a Cap, she can't let go of old friends who don't call her very often. She will never close the "book" on them.
Don't care much for closures, if someone is not into me then there is nothing left. My feelings shut down just like that. I give closure only if someone asks for it otherwise I simply walk away.
As far as friendships gone bad are concerned, I am always polite to people who contact me but I'll never seek them out.
If a strong attachment has been made, we have a difficult time with closure. Most caps are very conservative and don't take well to change. But it happens ya know.

it's a couple of shared traits with our opposite, cancer..loyalty and a long memory. we don't forget when someone has afforded us kindness in the past. caps get some flak for being reserved, guarded, aloof, and slow to trust but one of the reasons is that when we let someone in, we have a harder time than the other signs of getting rid of them should they turn out to be undeserving of friendship/trust. at that point, it may be necessary to cut them off completely.
and if the friendship is deserving then it's forever 🙂

Do Caps have a hard time with closure
