How was the movie?
What did you all go watch?
Maybe he knew you were coming and this was his way of moving forwards and not be awkward
Plus could be triple date and get to know you more

Star Wars. I'd already seen it and loved it, which I had previously told the mutual friend, along with the fact I wanted to see it again.

A New Hope was the movie the Cap invited me over to watch on Thanksgiving.

It's just so effing weird to me.. He knew I was going to be there. He pretty much confirmed it later. So why not just ask me to go himself? Or be more attentive before or after the actual movie? He didn't sit next to me.. he sat in between the mutual friend and her boyfriend. He (the Cap) and I were on either side of the mutual friend. But he kept looking over at me during the movie and staring at me afterwards..

Jesus. Is this dating? Is this what it's like?

I'll try. I'm starting to get on my *own* nerves :/

Seems like he is shy maybe he wants u to make the moves. But it feels like you are too wound up with the situation. Try to relax he can prob sense the awkwardness and irritation so he stays away until he thinks you've let go of the tension

I love Star Wars and can't wait to go again
Ask him if he has return of the Jedi and make it another movie night

S'ok. Cut and dry's so much easier than trying to remain friends. Especially if one of you still has feelings. It's all kindsa confusing. Equal parts hopeful and hurtful. Just try not to read so much into every little thing. You're driving yourself bonkers and, if you're not careful, that'll grow into resentment. Who needs the extra wrinkles?

I completely agree. I'm not trying to be friends. Friendly, yes; friends, no.

I wouldn't have gone if I knew he was going to be there, but I wasn't told he would be. He knew I was going to be there though. He knew. I wasn't given the same courtesy/warning.

I was amswering.the thread question...people wonder why we can just cut someone off...sometimes the answer is that simple.

I think this particular Cap is just a weirdo, with his reindeer games and such. Most of the others I know seem quite normal. Granted, I've never been romantically involved with any of them. Only as friends or work associates.

Tomorrow is the Cap chap's bday. We're not speaking, so I'm wishing happy birthday and many good returns on here instead of IRL.

Hopefully the positive energy will be sent out and reach the intended recipient. 🙂

Hi Hun, I would just text happy birthday and save me some cake

Something light hearted to let him know u remembered
Make plans with your friends etc so that you don't think about him too much on his special day
Then when he reads your message he will know you are not still too upset and it opens the gate for him to contact you

He's prob keeping away on purpose at first and now feels silly as it's been ages
He might need a sign from you so that he knows he won't get his head chopped off for disrespecting you

My cap did the same he was busy with family staying with him as soon as they were gone it was hi babe like nothing happened

I think he and I are just not compatible romantically speaking.

But thank you for your input! Your advice is sound and well thought out; I just think he and I are probably past the point of no return, unless it's friendship down the road.
