Again I have faults and have been very mean when I was drinking. But, it was because I was upset I wasn't getting the sugar from her I felt like I deserved.

I think she means 'lets wait and see if your actions match your words'.

So, I think they have not. You tell her one thing like then, then turn around and text mean things. So, from her point of view the words are empty and meaningless because your actions are not backing up your words.

So though you said a beautiful thing, she doesn't believe you just yet.

I'll add:

The actions in the past (mean words and texts) have NOT made her feel loved, happy and secure. So you're contradicting yourself.

She needs to know you actually mean what you say and follow through on it. There's that trust thing coming up again.

Then prove it. Let your actions back up your words.

And it's not that we are difficult. We are just very choosy who we trust. Those who earn that trust, reap so many rewards with a lifetime of loyalty.

Again I greatly appreciate everyones input and insight. I feel like I have a much better understanding of how she thinks. I only wish I would of found this board a couple months ago.

I hope she allows me to show her that I do understand now.
