I think it depends on the situation, who you're with and how you feel at the time.
I'm also in between referring to males - men or guys. Interchangeable.
I never feel comfortable saying woman. Ever. Lady is what I consider myself as well. I'm more comfortable with girl than woman.
ITS LIKE BILLY SAYS IF SHE IS A CAP (SHE'S ALWAYS A WOMAN TO ME).
Freak in the sheets, and lady on the streets...LOL 🙂
I think woman sounds more independent and powerful... just to expand on this a little, my daughter refers to me as "Lady" or "Woman", if she's being smug and knows I'm right she'll say "Alright Lady!" if she's taking a stance against me she'll say "WOMAN! Blah, blah, blah..." (as I've said before, she's a Cap too - she considers herself a woman as in "I'm a grown woman and can do what I want!"). I will in turn refer to her as "Girl!" She just smirks LOL But, when talking about other women, it would depend on how they carry themselves and present themselves - a prim and proper type would be a "Lady", someone who carries themselves with confidence and certainty would be a "Woman", younger or immature a "Girl", and one with an attitude a "FUCKING BITCH!" 🙂
^^^ lol *applauds* your daughter sounds great
to elaborate more on my op... i do refer to myself as a girl all the time, but i feel like i should identify myself more as a woman, and so i dont like that i still consider myself i girl.
with other women it's different... if another lady refers to herself as a girl... i see a chick comfortable enough in her own womanhood and also sassy enough in her feminine wiles to refer to herself as a girl.
whereas when *I* refer to myself as a girl... i feel like i'm not being as mature as i should.
... i hope this makes sense. 😛 ...self deprecating sag cusp.
I understand you perfectly. Im not comfortable with the title woman because of where I feel in terms of maturity.....and maybe more than anything, its in terms of emotional maturity.
A guy will display emotions before I will, and its uncomfortable territory in general that I dont like to tap into. When I think of the word "woman" in my mind its someone thats comfortable with displaying this part of themselves, and many women are comfortable, and it radiates frim within. Its a different power.
How can I be a woman with this part of myself locked? Arent women known for being emotional creatures? Im emotional.....in an angry way.
On the flip side, Im a little edgy, but also dainty and feminine. Thats why I think lady fits me personally.
I was just thinking of that the other day. Heck yeah im a big kid inside. If im ever in the mood to play, I usually will get out and play the most.
We all LOVE to laugh too. Love it...if its funny of course lol.
On a side note: I've ALWAYS used Ms. as opposed to Miss. which I think corresponds more with the term Woman vs. Lady or Girl.
I don't think I've ever been a (little) girl...
😭 *stomps around throwing a tantrum*
This is a little off subject, but my Sag friend plays that cutesy-wutesy little girl card sometimes. It's annoying as hell!!!!

... HATE this. I don't even know exactly what she's like, but I'm still cringing.
I've been a "YOUNG woman" since I was 11 or 12 and "GROWN woman" since I was 17, in college, and on my own". "Grown" but young at heart!
The Capricorn Woman:
"She can be ultra-feminine, flirtatious and charming enough to make a man feel like a giant grizzly bear who can protect her from the cold, cruel world."
"There's a deep richness in her love that's more lasting than the brittle, scorching, demanding love of other women."

At what point do you start referring to yourself as a lady or woman? Or when do you refer to yourself as a girl? Is this a mood thing? Changeable?
Which do you identify with more??
In general when i think of us cap ladies... I feel as though we are in fact more ladies than anything else.
As for myself... I really cant pick one. 40% woman, 40% lady, 20% girl... When i think of it. I really dont like referring to myself as a girl.
