Is this cap shy—

I've been dating him for a month and I still feel like he's shy when me and him are together.when I'm around him and his friends he laughs,jokes around and is all funny and loud and obnoxious.But when he's alone with me,hes quite and doesn't talk much.usually talks when I ask him questions,but doesn't start convos.I'm so confused idk what to do.is this normal behavior or is he just not that into me? 😭

I'm kind of that way too if I like someone. I'm sometimes afraid to say the wrong thing or of saying something stupid. Then, once I feel more comfortable, they're like "shut the hell up!!!" LOL!
