Opposites attract

Hi all so here it is ; I met a cap in late October and we both wanted to start a relationship now my problem comes in that he suddenly broke things off with me yesterday and went on to tell people we never slept together even though initially he had told them we had. He’s trying to erase me I feel like. He told me firstly that I was to good for him && I asked if he was breaking up with me he said he doesn’t know then he’s at work and all sweet to me like he never said anything to hence a break up . then a few days later he tells me he thought we had something but he changed his mind. Then today he introduced a few of his friends to me whom I’ve never met before and he’s trying to hold a conversation with me. I thought maybe I was being to emotional and to attached to him or I provoked jealousy in him when I would tell him about the boys who tried talking to me or I don’t know at this point. Please help it’s only been a day and I miss him terribly bad and I need to know if I can fix it! Thanks

He sounds like one of two things:

1. A mess.

2. He's messing with you.

Either one, not that great :/
