Tired of the high road

Do you fellow caps get tired of being the "bigger person"? I am getting tired of people who just emotionally vomit on me and then get mad when I ignore them or tell them about themselves. People are used to me being rational, but damn it, don't piss me off! You can't just say and do anything you want and then act like I'm wrong because I'm not standing for it. Everyone always says "Be the bigger person" "Take the high road". Sometimes I just want to lash out and keep it moving without caring about the fall out.

I guess I just over analyze my angry responses. I rarely emote in the moment. Anyone else with this issue?

I've discovered all I have to do is lash out once. Then it doesn't happen again.
Don't stand for something you don't want to stand for. Hold your ground and people will respect it, even if you've pissed them off. They'll get over it.
