Curious to what your first thoughts are when you wake up in the morning.

Mine:
Weekday: Damn alarm clock. Where's the snooze button?
Weekend: Get up, get moving, got lots to do! OR Sure would be nice to sleep in. Make a decision.

*alarm rings*
I think: What time is it?

*look at alarm. hit snooze.*
I think: It's nice and warm in here. I should cuddle more with Mr. scorp.

*I snuggle up closer to him. alarm rings.*

I think: What time is it? Holy shit, it's late! I need to get the fuck outta bed!
*runs to lay out son's clothes. Runs to son's room. yells, "Good morning! Your clothes are on the couch!" Runs to shower. Showers. Gets dressed. Makes breakfast for son. Puts it on table. Tells son to eat it. Makes coffee. Makes lunches while coffee is brewing. Tells son to put on shoes and socks. Takes sip of coffee. Runs out door.*

i'm a headcase... before i'm even fully conscious my first thoughts are about work. it's sad. and i always wake up before my alarm. usually 5 minutes before. not to mention i always set my alarm for different times. how's that for being ruled by the governing planet of time?

I do this too. I set one for 5:00 and another for 5:15. Just in case one doesn't work or I switch it off by accident.
Paradox- I usually have to pee before the alarm goes off. Like today I got up at 4:30 (incidentally first thought was "what time is it?") I went to pee. Then I went back to bed and fell asleep and I did what I typed earlier. Someday I will just get out of bed at 4:30 but I can't bring myself to do it.

lol yup! i set at least 2 alarms as well. crazy caps having back ups for every aspect of life 😛 and i agree, being up at 4:30 just feels wrong. I've done that twice this week and it made me feel like a senior citizen. next thing you know i'll be eating jell-o all the time.

I have to agree with the Gem on this one. Why even get out of bed? Food can wait. Once I'm out of bed, I'm not going back in.

Maybe that's why my relationship with the ex-Gem lasted so long. lol. Points to ponder.

I seem to be able to instinctively tell time (regardless of the time of day) so I don't set an alarm. I usually wake up just before sunrise regardless. My ideal alarm though, this time of year I absolutely LOVE to rise to the first bird songs of the morning 🙂
