Where you from β I love hearing about new and exciting places because I love travel π Are you in the USA? Outside of the USA? From Outer space? Tell me where, I want to know π
That was awesome Hahahahahahahaha! Since you're from Saturn could you tell me why it's named Saturn? Is it because some celestial body Sat on an Urn? I'm on FIYAH! today.
Just be glad you're not from some planet named after a human body part that excreets fecal matter. Spelling the actual name of your homeworld would be the least of your concerns.
You know where that stray sock always ends up, the ONE that you can never find? I'm from there (and my secret magic portal IS YOUR DRYER)!
FYI, I have a trip planned there next week, so if you see me climbing betwixt the lint trap and your dryer's frame, just pay no mind. You'll jinx my voyage, and I'll be spinning around in there for hours. It's a delicate process...too complicated and abstract to describe here."
"^It's a secret. Don't tell anyone."
I take it you've not read Roger Zelazny's Lord Demon? Your home, the plane of lost socks, has already been revealed to the general public.
"I haven't read it, but I seriously doubt it was accurate information."
Well, you should because:
"Lord Demon is a 1999 posthumous novel by Roger Zelazny with Jane Lindskold.
It is a "scientific" fantasy built on favorite themes (the necessity of knowing oneself, of taking risks, and of accepting the vulnerability that comes with feeling passionately), drawing on East Asian, Irish, and hero's quest myths, and featuring his signature protagonist: erudite, smart-mouthed, detached, homicidal when roused but more often immersed in art, poetry, and the creation of alternate realities; unexpectedly kind to the weak and deeply romantic in his approach to women. The bad puns and wildly whimsical turns the story takes are also characteristic."
You'll like it.π (Sorry, can't pass up an opportunity to pimp Zelazny's books).
Not very, I think. I've heard from Americans that the level of crime here is much lower, plus, we have the 8th highest life expectancy according to the UN.
"Are there a lot of holy tourists?"
Could be. I don't really hand at holy sites, so it's hard for me to tell you.
"Are you forced to be religous there?"
Nope. There are places in Jerusalem you shouldn't attempt to drive through on a Saturday(some foreigners say driving here at all isn't advisableπ), or walk through dressed in skimpy clothing(you wouldn't get killed, but you might be spat at, or told to cover yourself up).
"Awww, you're cute, yama! I forget how young you are. Honestly, I always picture you as a graying, fifty year old man with a big beard, and when I read your words, I sometimes picture Tevia from fiddler on the roof. Lol! sorry :/ I'll just blame your avatar as I could never be ignorant or acccused of stereotyping. "
Oi, goyim. *shakes head sadly while stroking beard*
I'm from Detroit... the core of the rough areas. You can probably Google for pictures lol. I live in DC now for school, in the rough area yet again. Not much of an upgrade, but I'm on the 7th floor so stray bullets are less of a worry for me now. I love Detroit, but it's getting out of hand! The mayor isn't making it look any better either.
The Atlanta pictures look great. I have never been and all of my friends went without me when I was already out of town. How nice of them lol. I like nice looking downtown areas. They're trying to fix up downtown Detroit and throw up condos everywhere, but I don't know how much good that'll do. Downtown DC is nice, but it's sad that the terrible neighborhoods are right around the corner from the White House. It's like wtf. This is the nation's capital and you have bums sleeping near the Lincoln Memorial messing up people's tourist pictures.
No more pictures ββ OH poo π’ I can't post any pics because I'm at the library -- I really should've went to the student certain but I didn't want to drive all the way there LOL
JD, I believe I've walked around that very area! No way, small world π You don't have to time, I know where you are, its my favorite place in Canada ... I believe. OOOOO, I bet I'm right π
This is the house I grew up in where my dad lives now (google maps is awesome). You can see the pond behind my house and the woods I would always go walking in.
It essentially encompasses one block and has a small store, funeral home, diner, tavern, church, post office, bank, school and now recently a gas station.
My uncle is the equivalent of the mayor, though I don't think you can even call his role that considering the town is only 200 people
Oh and of course, that out of 15 of the stores downtown, 2 of them are witch shops and one, a zombie shop. No wonder I think Children of the Corn is scary as hell. I swear, in a few years, this place is going to make headlines for some crazy cult stuff going down in the woods surrounding the town.

You can add pics if you want, I don't care π
