Full time job and full time student. It will be hell, but of short duration. I don't know about you, but I would hate to stay in college for so long.
Here's the thing, I don't want to stay in college that long. You are right, it will be hell. However, I have a female libra boss and an male Aries boss that will give me hell if they knew I was going to school full-time. Most of their secretaries go to school to take skill improvement courses. LOL, I'm going to be a PA π Totally different agendas. If I can get away with it, I will have the decreet as hell, but at the same time ... I kind of don't want my whole life to be "school" You know?
Ugh oh ... I have to decide what to do! They just posted the job and other people are already bidding on it π’ π’ π’
PA is short for Physician's Assistant
You're also living by yourself. Not a good thing to do on parttime pay.
Thats what I had to come to terms with yesterday ...
Where are you at in college? Junior year?
Yep, I'm a junior, how did you know? π
Bid for it.
Okay, I think I have a fight on my hands. I can just feel the storm forming.
Do you live nearby your university?
Where I live, I'm about 20 to 25 minutes away -- I'm in the middle, I'm about 25 minutes away from my job too.
Also as a junior you need to start talking to your profs esp. if your univ is a research oriented univ. Start asking around for research assistant ships or teaching assistantships. Usually these posts pay reasonably well and can pave way for better contacts and scholoarhsips.
Yeah, I have to get on that, I was suppose to do that in Hune, but moving took most of my time along with getting my apartment together.
I don't feel well SB π’
I think I tad bit stressed out, hahaha and I'm usually pretty even so this is not working will.
I need to go home ...
if the fulltime job is not in the field that you study/want-to-get-into and will take up much time and slow down your graduation significantly, i'd say if you can get by by having partime jobs being fulltime student, keep doing that.M
This is nuts, I don't know what to do
i'm sorry that what i said gave you stress ... i understand it is a difficult decision and you have to act like now...
OOO NO! Sagigoat, it wasn't you, I must've made it sound that way, I'm sorry π’
When I was reading the posts, I got a message from my crazy Aqua/Pisces boss. I asked him for a recommendation. He asked ME to write the recommendation and he will re-word it.
Hahaha, I was alittle pissed because I don't have time to do it ... it guess it kind of came over on the boards ... I'm sorry *ducks head*
AHHH!!! One of my female co-workers just walked in. She likes to run her mouth until hell-freezes-over. Goodness, I can't deal with her today, I will take LOOOONNNGGG lunch break.
I have to get out of here
Cappysweetie, how far away are you from your parents?
Okay, feel better today π
Thank you all for the support, I appreciate it π π π π π π π π π π π π π
I have some big decisions to make in a couple of hours ...
COOL! I was actually studying Aerospace Engineering (with the hope, or dream of becoming an astronaut some day..) but I got really BORED of it, I like maths and physics, but somehow I wasnt feeling any satisfaction in what I was doing, most of my classmates were complete socially-retarded geeks and dorks (and NO GIRLS ; that was the worst part LOL!) I felt it was far too limiting on my personal development so I just quit and thats when I decided to become Indiana Jones LOL! very cool people around where I am now, I feel home
I like math and biology π Physics is okay, but my college prof didn't want us to use calculators -- only slide-rulers π’
Do what is best for you but be careful. Do not overextend yourself, or it will force a break from both, via a hospital visit.
Thank you for your concern π π π This is what my mother tells me. I hope this doesn't happen because then all this damn schooling would be a waste!!!!!
Part time work and full time school. Your bills aren't going anywhere, cappie. They'll be waiting for you when you graduate. You'll be able to manage them better after you do, so focus on school. You can look at it as a sacrifice, or you can look at it as an investment. Put school first, because it will be a better investment than a full time secretarial job. The longer you stretch it out, the greater the risk of you not finishing. You have to delay gratification.
See Aqua, this is what I want to do, put school first.
Exactly - it's so easy to lose drive, motivation and focus once you are working full time.
That's what I'm afraid of CW, but like Evan said, I need to figure out whats more important right now.
Well two of the expenses will be paid off after september. I need the car of commute, without the car I can't get to school. Bus transportation will not work because its horrible in the city where my school is. Many people who live there are like middle-class or whatever, so they have their own cars.
there are many student wanted positions i found on craigslist.
and you can always bartend. they like pretty girls to do that.
No, I'm not cute enough to be a bartendar, I wouldn't make enough money π
Just in case you wanna take a year off and go backpacking through Europe...I have enough space in my apartment
LOL!!!!! *Kisses Shaka on the forehead and cheek*
Oh wait! what would Virgirl think?
*Cappy also kicks Shakain the ass*
LOL!!!
LOL @ Evan ...
I think we'd cause trouble π
mars conjunct saturn!!
now i know!! it is in virgo also(astro.com is a cool siteπ).totally understandable now.drr
Okay ... this is bad! This lady in another dept just made a bid for this position ...
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. The way this works is simple, she has more time here then I do, so she can bump me out π’ π’ π’ π’ π’ π’ π’ π’
Oh dear, I'm going to start lookiong for something else, because if she passes all the tests, this means that I'm in deep shit.

So I'm trying to decide on whether I should just continue working two part-time jobs and be a full-time student or work full-time and be a part-time student.
