Work is her true love

Hey again,


If you answered to my first post, then you'd understand that my girlfriend and I were having a rocky relationship. Since then, we met up to talk about "us" and she told me that she wanted to make things work between us. Of course that made me happy because I love her to pieces.

A few days after we met, she did her typical Houdini act on me, but I didn't take it personal because I knew that she was at work...which brings me to today...

I woke up to a long message saying that she was breaking up with me because her work life was too hectic for a relationship. She apologized for not being able to spend time with me like she should and that she was sorry for us to end this way. She told me that she still loves me and would always be there for me. I told her that I loved her as well and that there are no hard feelings and I quickly ended the conversation before my voice began to break.

It's not necessarily advice that I need, I just wanted to vent. My heart is shattered. Thanks for listening guys 😢

Aww.. Demands of the material world messes with hearts 😢 but I understand because i too consider my heart is in my work.

You have great heart to understand her so well and not take this personally. ☺

I had no choice but to understand her. I do appreciate her being upfront with me about this. I've always loved her work ethic and hustler mentality. She'll always take up the most space in my heart.

You broke up with her out of anger, apologized and you got back together, yes?

You were done before you ever started back. Be glad she cut this now, instead of dragging it out. Know that's hard to do with it being so new and raw, but much better in the long run. Be well.
