Horary question

Understanding Horary Question Responses

In horary astrology, a large square pattern across the chart indicates tension and obstacles affecting the outcome. Even if outer planets are involved, focus on the aspects to the significators. The pattern suggests challenges in receiving a response, but interpretation depends on the planets and angles involved.

Querent asked this question: Will he respond back to my message?

Hi All!
I am a novice in horary astrology and this is the first time I have come across one big square pattern across the chart. It is also touching all main angles so I'm really curious it's major relevance to the question posed. It does not touch the querent's significator, but it does touch one the quesited's significator AND co-significator. Moreover, the other planets involved are all the outer planets which I know isn't considered in classical astrology. How would I interpret their involvement in this unique pattern?

I love horary.

But isn't Saturn in 1st an indicator the question is off? I'm rusty on the rules so don't let me sidetrack you.

I think anything saturnian or afflicted but regarding the L7.

indicating the astrologer is not in the safe situation to read the chart.

With regards to the querent's question specifically, I would say the answer is No because Mars and Venus/Sun are not aspecting each other. But I've read that horary charts can convey the whole story so eventhough I can assume that the answer is No, I am still curious about the rest of the story, so to speak.

I would imagine that Saturn being on the first house with the querent would indicate something of a restriction or delay...on querent's part? But then look how it's also aspecting the quesited's main and secondary significators in an opposition. What does that tell?

And then of course, the big square pattern across the whole chart touching the 4 main houses seems telling of something. I just don't know what because the planets involved are outer planets and I am not sure how to factor those into the "story" ....

I have a little knowledge of horary and by accident I did a little excerise today. So I dare to respond.

0. I don't think we need to pay attention to the square pattern.

1. the quesited's significator AND co-significator are Venus and Sun. None of them is aspected by Mars in Scorpio. Nor a an aspect is applying. So the answer is NO.

2. Venus in burnt. So NO.

3. Now if we take the man as only a romance partner (so nothing serious, or just a crush), then L5 is Jupiter (old school).
In that case Moon (woman's feelings) are applying to a sextile to Jupiter in Virgo. That seems to work better.
I don't know how to interpret the fact that he is in the 10th house. Do they work at the same company?

3.a. Jupiter will not conjunct Mars before it goes direct again. But Moon could translate light from Jupiter to Mars.
That still speaks only for romance and not partnership.

4. I think further factors, e.g. your chart or her chart, are not relevant.

My strategy is with learning horary is: first the basics, then details/niches, later the add-ons. And I'm still on the level of basics.

I would consider Saturn only as the lord of the 3rd.
The querent has initiated (or maintained the last) conversation. Mars/querent changed the direction and went backwards while waiting for the communication to be continued. That did not help cause Venus/man/Sun is in opposition to Saturn/communication.

today there was somewhere on the big three forums (weekly, astro, sky) a horary for a lost cat. issued April 2016. the applying aspects were all ok. the answer would be "yes, tha cat will come back".

the problem was only how to interpret the "middle" wight time. 8 days? 8 weeks? 8 months?

fact is 8 days were gone by and OP reported the cat was not back. 8 weeks have gone and OP have not updated yet.

So is horary humbug? or will OP come back in the Christmas Eve and say he is back?
