When do you consider someone a best friend?

Whenever I hear a Sag say that so-and-so is one of their best friends, I'm genuinely confused because y'all are SO friendly and treat almost everyone as if they're your best friend!

Is there a way to tell the difference? Do you only do/say certain things to those who are your best friends? Or is it as simple as just hearing a Sag say, "You're my best friend," or something like that?

I call someone my best friend maybe after knowing each other for at least 5 months and being very close

I only consider someone a bestfriend when we've opened up to each other, and have met one another's family.

My Gemini best friend is the same way. She calls everyone her bff. I don't really get upset over it because ive known her 12 years now and im just used to her now. But I did used to wonder if she considered me her best friend the way I considered her my best friend, but after so many years of loyalty you just stop questioning it yanno. Shes fiercly loyal so I think once someone passes that loyalty test for you, whatever that consists of, then you can call them your best friend.

My best friend is a Gemini as well and she's the same way. Some days I wonder if she thinks the same things, but she's been there for me and I love her like a sister.
