very very very very!

believe me they reveal a very specific aspect that I feel coveres mental and more deeper soulful dimensions that the western horoscopes which are more about personality, outer personality

i feel the chinese horoscopes are more linked to eastern philosophy where it's more about karmic tendencies, past lives and future lives and karmic imprints that we carry in our minds

sorry to go too much into this but I'm a buddhist and I understand chinese astrology at its own level and I feel it touches on a very progressive tone in terms of life experience, than just the here and now and passing

it's been very spot on for me over the years and helped expalin things and people where horosopes had fallen short, like completing the picture when western astrology may have reached some limits

what's your chinese sign ?

Strange to say that in our western astrology, eveyone concurs that aquarians and virgos are a no no! However when I delve into chinese horoscopes and discover I am the Fire Horse and he is the Wood tiger......we are supposed to get along fabulously!!! Who do I believe:-)................—?? when he is a bold virgo boy..so true that wesern astoplogy....when he is a good virgo boy....oh so true that chinese astrology:-) - So as you can see, I am a walking contradiction!!!!!minds are for changing...:-) That australian astrrology guy Milton does a real good take on chinese signs...check him out:-)
PS I have to say I love rabbits...and snakes:-)

I find the chinese signs to be fairly accurate but when it comes to the compatability stuff I'm always attracted to the ones I'm not supposed to be.

I never have a problem with roosters or rats for example. I find them quite attractive and I don't think they're overly critical and blunt. I think they're honest. As a rabbit, some of the signs I'm meant to like are, for like of a better term, pansies.

"How can ALL people born in a year have the same "traits".??"

You do realise that judging people by their year animal/element is exactly like assuming everyone born under the same sun sign in the western zodiac has the exact same personality, right? There are 'four pillars' in Chinese astrology - an animal and element each for your year, month, day, and hour of birth. It's actually supposedly the 'day' animal that truly represents you rather than the 'year' animal. So although I'm born in the year of the Fire Tiger, I'm actually a Water Snake because of my date of birth.

if the day I was born is a rooster day then I am a Virgo somehow. whaaaaat?

You need to be careful here. The day you were born does not determine what Chinese sign you are. The year you were born does. If you are a virgo than you are a virgo, but pending on the year you were born you can be a virgo tiger, hours, pig etc. There are many virgos of different personalities. Chinese astrology helps us understand why some virgos act the way they do.

Look at it this way. The Chinese sun sign is the general characteristic of a generation born in one year. These are general traits. Western sun signs are monthly traits. So if you are a born in Septemeber 1980 than you are a monkey with a virgo accent.
