Whaaaat @blackphase he is so cute! I also adopted from a shelter so Kenji was pretty easy to train too! I think we definitely took a while longer to bond though because of his shelter background; but I'm glad to hear that wasn't the case with you guys. Who could abandon those eyes? That fourth picture is sooo cute lol

My pup is a collie! One year old.
Obedient, extremely loyal.
Has some issues, gets fixated on sheep, cats and balls and weird habits such as snapping at the air.
(I want to sign him up for sheepdog training, or agility to fix this, as a working dog he needs to keep his mind occupied).
BUT ISN'T HE FLUFFIN ADORABLE?
Also, he's an Aries. 😉

Whoa @Jardsi I see a resemblance! We did a blood panel to see what his mixes were and he also has some collie (and chow) in him too! But I think the pit collie and Akita show more.
They look about the same size as well and Kenji also snaps at the air. I always thought he might be trying to get mosquitos haha. Your baby looks the sweetest! Have you tried puzzle toys?

He must be super attached to youPosted by SilvuhYes, I tend to hear that about many shelter dogs, that they take longer to warm up and trust. I don't think my Dog had much experience with females and that may have made a difference. I got him from a male who only had him for a year after getting him from a shelter, then he had to get rid of him as he was in the Navy and going overseas, so possibly being abandon by the man had an impact.. but he took to me instantly. He was so loving and snugly with me from the second I got him. I don't know how anyone could let go of him either!!

I actually thought that my dog might have some husky, or similar breed somewhere in there. He looks very wolf like sometimes, with his big bat ears and amber eyes.
He was dumped on our doorstep as a tiny puppy with his sister, she looked more like a spaniel.
I haven't tried puzzle toys, haven't even heard of them. -googles-
Posted by JardsiOh wow you should try a wisdom panel if you ever want an idea of his possible mixes. He sure has some wolfie qualities for sure. And the toys are just like riddles for dogs!
