what are you all making for New Years eve dinner?

and New Years day meals?

i never really cared before, i usually make dinner for new years eve and new years evening.

my mother in law and gemini step mother in law cook on the Christmas eve, Christmas day and 2nd day Christmas.

i looked around online and saw that Black eyed peas and cornbread is typically a Southern food new years meal:

weird. some sites have said NO chicken and NO lobsters for new years, because lobsters go backwards and chickens scratch backwards..lol

but this lady has lobster as one of the main meals for new years.

for Christmas 2015, mother in law cooked Turkey, One of her special ingrediënt was to wrap bacon strips around the Turkey (why? because it keeps it MOIST!!!) it was most delicious.

i dont eat pork, so i took the bacon strips out of it, but the moisture of keeping the Turkey soft and yummy inside was good.

for new years i made sliced beef, potatoes, some rice pilaf, vegetables, gravy, brown and light, sticks of bread and garlic butter. for dessert, cakes and ice cream.

gemini step mother in law made some ham and salmon and white fish. I don't eat ham, so i ate the fish dinners,
