Assassin's Creed valhalla music. Once I got really high and had all the lights off while playing and when the edible really hit I was just laying on my couch with my eyes closed listening to it. Very soothing.

thank you, @SeaLion / bless 🙏✨

i have not had an edible while on a game. wow

hmmmm 😏

Well I'm an old school cat and I love sonic the hedgehog boss's theme song

I can literally listen to that game song all day if you let me. It's not that it heals me and put me at ease like smooth jazz but I like to travel back in times and this song does it for me and also it has that sort of creepy vibes like something creepy about to happen or something.

Hopefully sometimes today or whenever I get the chance I'll post my current game that I'm still trying to master all the levels on.

I probably posted this before, but it's one of my favorites. It's actually from a player made Minecraft mod that adds a new dimension called the Twilight Forest. It's basically a dimension full of mystery and bosses, along with huge castles and labyrinths to go with them. It can actually be quite difficult too. Every time this track comes on I feel in awe, and fully immersed. It's so mysterious, ominous, yet soothing, which fits the mod perfectly.

Kazuya was a great boss villain. I remember losing to him 27 times in a row but I didn't mind because his stage music was so good. Dramatic in a J-drama sort of way yet the music implies Kazuya's inner motivations and internal conflict. Such was the Playstation's hardware limitations at the time, background stages, lighting, music and character design were crucial for creating atmosphere and intrigue around the game's story. For a fighting game which are usually light on narrative to begin with, Tekken 2 really got it right which paved the way for its seminal sequel.

Then when you finally beat the game you're treated to this. Enduring all those beatdowns was worth it in the end. Landscape Under the Ghost Kaminano

Bless you @roti and thank you 😊🙏

I kept forgetting to respond to your post here.

I'm out and about so I'll post now though.

I remember when Tekken 2 was released in

the arcade and then for the Sony PlayStation.

Tekken 2 and Virtua Fighter were beautiful

beautiful games to see be released because

of the new graphics at the time. Tekken was

easier for me to get into.

Tekken always had good music too. Prodigy, band

from the UK i love influenced TEKKEN 3 soundtrack

from what I've read about the game before.

And the soundtrack was also good.

But yeah I agree with every single thing you

say about Tekken, the story and everything.

Plus Kazuya wasn't necessarily a "good"

character either as he was the protagonist

and that was very unique for the time.

He wasn't trying to save the world.

Just throw his father off a cliff 😶...

The series really did do some unique things

for the series and fighting game genre as a whole

Thank you for sharing. I’m glad I’m not alone in having a deep appreciation for this series.

That intro movie takes me back, no matter how many times I saw it already, I’d let it play to the end.

You immediately feel a sense of what this game is about from that intro. The final shot is beautiful of Angel embracing Kazuya at the top floor of a skyscraper overlooking a black winter night sky..

Tekken 2 was dark af when you consider that Heihachi was the protagonist. I found that strange as a kid. But I guess not everything is black and white was the lesson.

I was glad Kazuya got added to Smash Bros roster. He’s finally getting his dues, it can’t always be about Jin 😚

The music has always been solid throughout the series. Perhaps after Tekken 5 it became more generic to suit the times, the emphasis being on competitive gameplay (e-sports) over everything.

Tekken 3’s OST is notable. Super good. That big beat, trip-hop, guitar driven, Prodigy sound. Amazing presentation, a leap forward in style and gameplay.

One final thing, Netflix will release a Tekken anime in August covering the events between Tekken 2 and 3. Check out the trailer ✌🏼

EXACTLY EXACTLY, @roti. You have it all in one*!!!

I'm supposed to be doing some things over here but your message,

It's just so so on point I had to respond! AND I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT

THE INTRO FOR TEKKEN 2. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN.

I replay it even when I come here to this thread lol.

It just bring me back in time in the 90s that I can't even fully express.

And if I try to express I feel it some how dwindles the meaning and importance of it all.

I'll just say the smell and beauty of that time runs through that intro and that's why I always return.

What you say about things not being so black and white too --oh my goodness, yes.

I think Tekken got it right too because looking at a fighting game

from the story perspective, which even around this time it was

extremely vague, but Namco did a great job bringing it close to our reality where

everyone has a shadow side and personal imperfections! No one is squeaky clean.

And even if you are, you still have things you are working on about yourself. That was Tekken.

Do you remember when Jin won Tekken 5 and then became ruler around Tekken 6?

He started to look just like his father or maybe even his grandfather when we all

thought he was better than both of them!

And the music you were saying around

Tekken 6. I agree 100% +. The music before that was more...

revolutionary because it was DIFFERENT and took on new sound

than the other fighting games. Granted, STIII finally decided to explore

different sound too (DNB/HOUSE/HIPHOP ETC) But both SF and TEKKN sound bland a bit now.

Also too, Tekken I think had to take a bit of time to shine because of

games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter were just on top at the time..

But as the years went on, those two just lost their way where TEKKEN just stayed

to its roots and improved on it.. Tekken is definitely my favorite out of the bunch.

EDIT: Oh YESS I seen I seen 🙂 the Trailer. It looks so nice. TEKKEN 3 I love so much too. 1997❤️
